used to prefer to drive further to go to lowes vs depot for the sole reason that Quincy's roads would make you think you're driving through Afghanistan, avoiding pits from IEDs.
anyway, i'll take my chances going forward. Having to pay someone peanuts to run a register just doesn't seem to be in the budget at lowes. They can however, afford to pay two people to stand there and do nothing at the self-scans. One person stands there doing nothing, although visible. The second person hides, and when someone goes to check out, sneaks up behind you, peering over the battery displays to watch you do their job for them, which again, just doesn't seem to be in lowes budget. says a lot for a company always touting the fact they are a mult-billion dollar corporation.
says even more when they tout their superior customer service, and then turn around and passively accuse everyone of being a shoplifter because they're to cheap to pay anyone to run a register. or maybe they're so paranoid, they don't trust their employees to handle money, so they stand there doing nothing while customers do their job for them. when will the stop-and-frisk be implemented? If your budget/margins are so razor thin that you cant afford cashiers, it stands to reason you can't afford to alienate customers either. but here we are.
weren't we told self-scans would lower prices for consumers? why does Lowes still have higher prices than home depot? maybe i should start stuffing things down my pants, might as well lean into the accusation and get some free stuff, right?
maybe you can discuss this at the next morning meeting, right before you humiliate your employees with that idiotic lowes cheer. is that still a thing? or have you identified and removed all the employees who aren't willing to swallow their pride for $15 per hour?

Ordered online for curbside pickup. When I arrived at the Lowes location neither the app nor the email link was working and I had to seek out and flag down an employee.

I like Lowe's. They carry great plants, and seem to be a store designed to help people find what they're looking for. However, on my most recent trip, it was very hard to find an associate to assist. I was shopping for a smart ceiling fan. Unfortunately, I had to go through a few associates to finally find one who told me that smart ceiling fans are available online only. Total waste of time.

The lady Alice at the Pro team is a disgrace. I’ve been a contractor customer for years and ve bought hundred of thousands of dollar worth of merchandise with the store. She’s just crude and miserable. She swore and yelled at customers like we owe her sth. Consider going to Home Depot

This location is very neatly stocked up, which made finding the exact blinds we were looking for a quick & simple process. Before looking around for someone to answer a couple of quick questions, a helpful associate seemingly read our minds & magically appeared.. and with all the answers too! After that, we proceeded to checkout, conveniently spotting both "cash and/or card" and "card only" registers at self-checkout, finishing up our trip here in 5-10mins. Definitely the Lowes I'll go from now on.
