My husband and I and our 13-year old stayed three nights at the Shaker Mill Inn this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the very comfortable beds and bedding, the cleanliness of the room, and small but thoughtful details that our hosts provided in the room, including a variety of breakfast items and space to unpack and truly settle into our room. The cozy electric stove was a definite plus. There was plenty of light in the room(one of my hotel pet peeves is how dark they can be!). I was also pleasantly surprised at how convenient West Stockbridge is to the surrounding towns. It's only 10 mins to Lenox and 15 to Great Barrington, and West Stockbridge offers several dining and shopping places too. We will be back!

I do wish the breakfast option was a bit more warm and fresh "out of the kitchen." One of the options was half an egg sandwich from Dunkin. BUT!! Would I return? Absolutely! Do NOT let this be a deciding factor. This place is charming and cozy. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays. There is thought put throughout the space and the location is conveniently placed within the Berkshires!

This was our first trip to this area of the Berkshires so we did not know what to expect and did a blind search for accommodations. From the moment we pulled in to the Inn, we were in awe. Then we opened the door to our room and immediately heard Christmas music playing on the TV as we took in all the incredible details ... fireplace, skylight, fully stocked variety of breakfast items, comfy quilt on the bed, welcome book with all the information we would need. We will be back!

Very nice, B and B. The hosts were extremely welcoming and the rooms comfortable. Definitely, coming back again soon. Lots of interesting things to see within walking distance.

A beautiful location, very comfortable feeling atmosphere. The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are immaculate. We were able to tour the room we are interested in for our next stay before we left which was greatly appreciated. The only thing I wasn’t 100% satisfied with was the firmness of the mattress as I am one who prefers a very soft mattress, although I didn’t “try out” the mattress in the option for the next trip, I do have high hopes. So, if you prefer a firm mattress, the Rockwell room is for you. I highly recommend this B&B for anyone visiting the Berkshires. Oh! I can’t forgot to tell you, they give you a list of things that are available for purchase in the rooms! Including the cute little coffee mugs!!Thank you Shaker Mill Inn for an amazing experience! Our trip out to Tanglewood and Western MA was more memorable because of our stay at Shaker Mill Inn. Our suite was great! We enjoyed all of the amenities. I especially liked the gourmet coffee and croissants at breakfast time. John was very helpful and pleasant.When back in Western, MA we will definitely book again at the Inn.

We stayed at this beautiful gem just one night. It was clean, serene setting and very quiet. Loved the garden view too! We were disappointed we didn’t get to meet the owners, but understand they have a life too. We will be back again next year. Thanks for a great time?Rooms: Very clean and well stocked with breakfast items.

There's not much I can add to what's already been said in previous reviews....this place goes above and beyond to make the guests feel welcome and cared for. John even helped us with a rental car issue, and followed up to make sure all was ok! We stayed 4 nights, but I wish it was longer! We'll just have to return!Thank you, John and Patti, for your incredible hospitality!!!

We stayed there last weekend as we went to a show at Tanglewood. You could tell right away the owners of the Inn were dedicated to making sure we had a flawless stay. The room, more like a studio apartment, was clean, well furnished, and very comfortable. A homerun! Fully recommended, and we will definitely be back! Thank you! Charlie & Colleen

The staff was so very friendly and inviting and the charm and peacefulness is exactly what I needed after a 2 + hour drive. The room was very spacious and left us wanting for nothing more. The in room breakfast with oj.and fresh ground coffee was a welcome luxury. Cocktail glasses to mugs and even some penut butter for the croissant. The electric fire place was a nice touch to cozy up the room too. The outdoor area was ours alone and was just a walk out of our slider door. I travel alot, more than most, and I was impressed. Dollar for dollar this is going to give you more than what you've paid for. This trip was leisure with a friend. I already am planning on taking my wife in a few weeks.

We broke up our trip home from Maine with a stay here in the Rockwell Suite. A beautiful private deck was the highlight. Very roomy and nicely laid out accommodations. The breakfast items and treats provided were so nice. We’ll stop there again next year!

What a find. My wife, the dog, and I enjoyed every minute of our two-night stay. We are almost hesitant to post a review lest the "secret" get out, but the hundreds of great reviews for the Shaker Mill Inn reveal it is no secret. It has the best qualities of a bed and breakfast -- quaint rooms, wonderful breakfast, a multitude of personal touches -- and yet it comes with the level of privacy we enjoy. Can't recommend enough.

We were finally able to come back to stay again. Our room (Greylock Suite) was very spacious and comfortable/homey. The breakfast both days was fresh and delicious! Coffee was also amazing, another pleasant surprise! We have now staying in 2 different rooms and look forward to coming back to try the others :) John and Patti make you feel right at home. Highly recommend staying with them on your Berkshires trip!
