I have been going here for two years now and have found more than simply a place for tending to laundry. I have found a place of friendship. You could have the cleanest closes in the world but with out love it would be nothing.

I wish I had a little award to present to the owner of this place for her amazing service. One day, during an unbelievably humid summer, while getting something out of my closet, I noticed a white stain on one of my vintage wool suit jackets. Upon pulling it out for a closer look, I realized that it was mildew, and not only that, but it was all over the rest of the suit, and a bunch of other clothes as well. As you might expect, I was completely horrified. I emptied the closet, took stock of the damage, and raced to the nearest dry cleaner, which happened to Ace. The owner looked everything over, and told me she would take care of it. I had never had something like this happen before, so I pretty much just resigned myself to the idea that this was a waste of time, and that I would ultimately be forced to throw everything away. You can imagine my complete and total surprise when, a week later, she handed everything back to me, clean, fresh, and without a trace of damage. I have no idea what kind of black magic she worked on those clothes, but she saved every last piece, and I'm forever in her debt.

Love this place. The owners are very friendly and always make time for a friendly conversation. Turnaround time is good and have been very happy with tailoring. Happy to support a small business that provides good service.

Sigh. I was referred to Ace by a neighbor. I need some pants hemmed, and two shirts taken in. Ace was slightly less-expensive ($15 for regular hemming, $20 for "fancy" pants, lol), so I went. The seamstress was watching tv when I arrived, so seemed not too busy. When we got too the shirts, I gathered the fabric in the back to show her how I wanted them to fit. But she didn't pin it where I suggested. When I came back to pick up the clothes, I tried one of the shirts on before leaving. It looked exactly the same as when I brought it in. I again gathered the fabric in the back, and showed her (again) what I wanted. "It won't look good, because you have big boobs & big hips," she said. "I can't do it." Yes, lady, I do have both of those things, which is what this shirt is supposed to emphasize! I don't typically come to a seamstress/tailor for body critique. I guess they offer that as a bonus at Ace. I'd brought another pair of pants with me I'd purchased online; they looked nothing like the image on the listing (I showed her) & I asked if they could be salvaged. "They're too long!" She said. I pointed out that while yes, they WERE too long, they were also the wrong fit/style/cut, and could they be altered to resemble the photo? She said all they needed was hemming. She asked me to pay upfront to hem them & added $20 to my bill for the shirts/other pants. She didn't explain what made these pants "fancy"/the higher price. I left. Tried on all the altered items at home. One of the pairs of pants was still dragging on the floor. And I decided I wasn't going to accept the un-altered shirts that were still unwearable after paying for her to alter them. So, I pinned the shirts exactly where I wanted them taken-in, and went back to her shop. I gave her the still-too-long pants back, and the shirts. She complained that it was "too much work" and that the back of the pants was the right length. What good is that?! I should just let the front drag on the floor? More complaints about how she "wouldn't do the work again" because it was "too much work" before she reluctantly accepted the 3 items back. And the pants that only needed a hem to be all better, according to her? Terrible. Still unwearable. When I picked my 2 shirts/1 pair of pants up today, they FINALLY fit correctly. Worth the money/hassle/insults/pair of pants that still looks terrible? Definitely NOT!
