Hellen Fuel has the best furnace service people who always show up on time and do a clean quick job of things. Their fuel prices are always competitive or better than other companies. I felt the need to write this review due to the strange, bad reviews I have read on Yelp. I have been a Hellen Fuel customer for around 20 years.

I highly recommend this company. They have a great balance of professionalism and consideration for their clients needs. Our oil tank needed to be replaced due to a leak, and the team of employees working for Hellen Fuels were very clear in their process, listened to our concerns, and the it was a smooth transition. They really go above and beyond to make sure of the quality of their work.

Told me I need to replace a perfectly fine oil tank that has absolutely no rust on it I understand they rust from within but they didn't inspect the interior of said tank just looked at the outside with a flashlight which has no visible rust

My parents have been decades old oil customers of this company. Recently my dad passed away (97) and in the melee of such an event, we overlooked having a delivery for my 93 yr old mother. I called to have them come out and the woman mentioned there was a balance of $78 on the account. Unusual for my parents as they are very diligent in paying their bills, but apparently the case. After I mentioned it must have been an oversight due to my ailing father who just passed away the day prior, she went on to say "we can't do another delivery until that's taken care of." "Oh, and sorry for your loss." Well thanks for the afterthought of sentiments. I think you might have the order of things backwards. One would think that the care of their decades loyal customers would be better handled. I would not recommend based on the callous handling of our situation. When coming onto Yelp to air our poor experience with them I see that one star is the norm for this company. Makes it so much easier to say goodbye and continue our service with another, consumer centric company who might also show some compassion and humanity while doing business.

Have been using Hellen Fuels for 15 years mainly out of convenience (location). Just called to schedule the annual service/cleaning for the burner. They told me that they can't get to until March. I have never had an issue scheduling this service. I guess their logic is - just call us when the burner stops operating properly because then we can charge you a lot more for a service call vs just performing proper maintenance.I see your response below. There are about 180 days between now and my scheduled cleaning... plenty of time. Let me know if there's an opening to service a 15 year customer sooner than 6 months out.

Not always the lowest price for fuel oil but they are ALWAYS there. In the past, they were able to make a same day delivery (I believe it was actually with in a few hours) of heating oil when I lost track and was running on fumes. Very pleasant office staff. I am happy to support this local business.

Every time I call for a delivery they are there the same day. Yesterday I had no heat and didn't know what to do, they sent someone out to deliver within hours of calling them. When the driver told me I wasn't out of oil he told me to call back and request someone come take a look. I called and they were here within an hour and now I have heat. I have had nothing but good experiences with them and highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys!!!
