“If I could, I would give this store six stars! We were looking for an uncommon paint that multiple Home Depot locations just couldn't help with. Some said the paint was discontinued, while others told me the paint code I had was wrong. I looked on line and saw this store fairly near to where I live. We walked in, and the gentleman working immediately asked us if we needed help? I told him just the paint code and he immediately said all the other details by heart! My wife and I were shocked! This man was a true professional and an expert in his field. He promptly went over and grabbed the paint for us. He asked us if we needed it shaken? He was already walking over to the machine as he asked us. This was the fastest, most fluid retail interaction I have had in years! He quickly helped us get rollers and other bits of kit to finish our project. No lie, I think we were in the store less than 7 minutes! My wife was so shocked at how great this representative was, she said out loud "So Professional!" Excellent experience!”

“As a first time homeowner, I had an exceptional experience here with Marc, the color and design consultant. He was patient and knowledgeable and helped picked colors for each of our rooms with ease. I had multiple visits where he was always available and willing to help, in person or virtually. Exceptional service that other stores require appointments and fees for!! I highly recommend Marc and the Drive in Paint Mart.”

“I went into Richmond Hardware today to find some mechanical bolts and nuts to replace the broken ones on my collapsible camping chair. I was met by the manager/owner(?) who paged an employee to assist me in selecting the proper length and width of the bolts and nuts. Matt examined the broken piece and selected a proper replacement bolt for each of the broken pieces. I thought that I would be spending my afternoon with pliers and a wrench. But to my surprise, Matt attached the bolts and tightened the nuts. I definitely recommend Richmond Hardware for their courteous employees and expert service. Thank you.”

“Incredible service and very kind and patient employees! It can be pretty intimidating to go to a paint store, especially if it's the first time you're doing a project and still trying to figure out what you need. The employees here are so amazingly helpful! They will stay with you your entire visit giving you advice from what kind of brushes to buy to great paint color recommendations. They make the process incredibly smooth. I truly can't emphasize enough how nice they all are! I live a town away and will still only get supplies and paint from here.”

“Come here for your paint needs! Thanks to Damon, I will in the future. I originally ordered paint online during a big sale and arranged to pick up at the Allston store, confirmed by email and phone a week in advance regarding what specific day I would be picking up, and then showed up that day only to find a physical sign on the door that they decided to close for the weekend. I was left with only an hour to figure out a solution before the painter showed up. Ended up going to Sherwin-Williams in Southie where Damon saved the day and an expensive job on a tight timeline. He not only was willing to honor the sale price, but mixed the paint right away as we waited. I will definitely be returning to this specific Sherwin-Williams for all my paint needs and hope to meet Damon each time. Thanks, Damon!”

“I went to Sherwin Williams for paint for my living room. I was unsure of the color. The associates gave me advice about the colors I was looking at and suggested taking home a stick on color swatch. I ended up buying the paint. The experience was a pleasant one. I would recommend the store to anyone”

“Super helpful and friendly staff here, they were happy to order letter-sized paint chips for us to help us make the final selection for wall colors. The parking is easy I am in the process of painting our living room and I find myself visiting the store a couple times a week for this and that.”

“I came in a little nervous of not knowing where to start when getting a paint and other stuff for painting. Caroline had so much patient in explaining everything. The store seemed busy for one person as she paid attention to customers needs. Very professional.”

“My top destination for paint. Always get good quality paint, color mixing, etc here. They also have other highest-tier quality products for wood finishing - urethanes, spar urethanes, polys, shellac, etc. They're very knowledgeable in paint and pretty knowledgeable in wood stains/finishes. Folks at Rockler might be more opinionated regarding wood clearcoat finishes if are looking for that sort of advice, though have yet to personally test finishes/techniques.”

“I know Benjamin Moore paints are the standard for new England, but S-W has excellent paint, great customer service, great variety of items, and is often more convenient. My research says that S-W paints are of the same high quality as Benjamin Moore. So you have a choice!”

“Super convenient spot for paint and painting supplies in the Cambridge/Somerville area with reasonable prices. The clientele definitely skews toward professional painters who know exactly what they need, and the pacing for getting paint mixed reflects that. However, the staff is quick and friendly toward home diy folks as well. It really helps if you do some basic research as far as what kind of paint/colors you want because the space is relatively small, and dawdling customers can quickly be in the way of people looking to get in and out swiftly.”
