My advice is PLEASE do yourself a favor and read the reviews very carefully before you use this company. Ppl have been kind enough to share their DETAILED and LENGTHY stories/ accounts of their experiences with New England Generator. Trust that these former customers r needing to express their stories to HELP YOU and prevent you from going through what they went through. Because really there is no motivation for so many ppl who r unrelated to each other to write such long stories and with all having the same or similar issues. I’m not going to offer you my LONG story here YET because I’m still in the midst of it. But I promise I will give you every detailed account as I have been taking meticulous notes. I will present all in my podcast when there is a conclusion. At this moment my issues has not been resolved. STAY TUNED. I will post all in my podcast next week. I will speak on all my experience with New England Generator her as well when a resolution has been met. Let’s hope it’s a good one. Either way you’ll get my honest perspective as a consumer. BTW I also have podcasts on companies I have reported to consumer affairs. My focus and expertise is on ETHICAL PRACTICES and CONSUMER RIGHTS

New England Generator has been the worst vendor that I have ever delt with. In the past 8 weeks, I've been trying to get them to my home (in Marshfield). I purchased a new system from them last year. They were late on delivery and took three days longer to install than stated. The first time I lost power, the generator came on, and blew three of my breakers. This is where the fun starts. I contacted them, they scheduled me 6 weeks out. When they came, they were not able to address the issue. Then, they reschedule. Again, and again. Now the fun part. I will continue my post on my worst experience with this company. I have dates, times, pictures, emails and videos why not to use them. Update: After I've called over 7 times in three days and requested a quote vs. an estimate to fit the problems, I was contact by New England Generator. Today, they stated that why wanted to drop me as a customer, after I paid them 19K last year for the generator and hookup. They state that they did not want to work me, because I posted a negative post to social media. Buy beware. Do not post a negative review for New England Generator, or they will drop you as a customer.

My Kohler 20K generator had a fault today. I called New England Generator this morning, Friday. They dispatched Justin within 1 hour. He diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes, a bad stator/rotor. Within 2 hours the office called and told me Justin and Derick would be out this same day after lunch. Together they removed the old stator/rotor, replaced with a brand new assembly and had the entire unit up and running within the same day. Fabulous response, professional and courteous. They even cleaned off the outside of the generator in the rain before they left. A very satisfied customer.Services: General repairs

Generator install and installers were great, however, they never gave me key to open the generator. Called a few times to request, never called back. When they did, after a reminder from the NE Generator person who did yearly tune up..said cost would be $5.00. After paying a huge sum of money for the generator, and was never given a key, I do not feel that I should have to pay for one. Asked to speak to supervisor and for email. Rachel, who said she was supervisor refused to give me her email as I wanted to document our conversation. She then hung up on me. Not the Customer Service they seem to want to pride themselves on. Will need to find another company to service the generator.

Installation was great and Koehler generator works beautifully. Customer service is not great. Called to get key to open generator. Said cost was $5.00 to replace. Would have been okay with that if I had received one at install. Asked to speak to supervisor and for her email so I could document my request. Refused to give email or send out key. Very disappointed that with the thousands of dollars I spent to receive such treatment! Will be looking for new company for yearly service.

New England Generator recently installed our 14KW Kohler Generator. The entire process from ordering, permit sourcing, installation and communication from start to finish was superb. Every person we dealt with including sales, installers, plumbers, electricians and project manager were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. If you want a turnkey generator properly installed with all permitting, we highly recommend New England Generator. PS this is install was a bit complex because it was ocean front and needed additional flood plain and conservation permits. New England Generator made it easy!

I would give them zero stars if I could. We are loyal customers who have a yearly maintenance plan with us.The last time they “fixed” our generator, it never ran right.It wasn’t ever fixed properly.During the recent storm, the generator stopped running, in turn leaving us with no electricity. We run a sump pump in our basement, the whole reason we have the generator.We called and Beth, the rudest receptionist, told us no one could come out and THEY would let US know when someone was available.Needless to say, our finished basement ended up with 3” of water. After cleaning all the water out, disposal of the wet furniture, it will cost us $3,000 to put the room back together because of their negligenceIf you’re looking for a reliable, friendly, experienced company, callMass Generator. They came right out and we’re not customers. Fixed and replaced parts that NE generator didn’t.Stay away from this company. They took our money for yearly maintenance agreement and wouldn’t come out when we needed them.

My parents had a generator installed 5 years ago by this company and are now sitting without electricity after a storm. This will be the second mother board that needs replacing as well as a malfunction in a connection in basement. He had a service scheduled for the day after the storm and was told they are not coming so they can serve other customers and have no date for service as of right now, they are in there 80’s. I’m thinking the electricity will be restored before they get service from this company.

I've been a loyal client for many years. I have no complaints about tune up service they have provided. But.... I have moved and have moved my Generac standby with me. Requested an installation only. How about $4.5K quote? Home Depot will do that next week for $1567. Shame on you NE Generator.Service: Installation

The Kohler generators are good. That’s about it. If you love your garden, your patio, your driveway, your walkway, choose another company, because they will destroy everything. They say they will repair the damages, but sit out your reminders and never come..... Well, three weeks later I have to say, good things take a while :-). NE Generator did come back in the end to re-fill our ledge and re-plant the grass - a light fluff of green already emerging. And scheduled our first maintenance for free, i.e., on the house.So, not so bad an experience overall :-)!Service: Installation

We just wanted to share our experience with the team at New England Generator. We were very impressed with everyone that was involved in the delivery and installation of our generator. Each and every member of the team was professional, courteous, and friendly.It was a pleasure doing business with them, and we would definitely recommend their services.

New England Generator installed our Kohler 20 kw stand-by generator about 8 years ago and have maintained it ever since without an issue.. During this last October No Name 2021 storm,we lost power on and off 5 or 6 times during the first night and the generator performed perfectly. At approximately 3:30 am, the generator failed to come on line.. at 5:30 am, I noticed that the 75plus mph winds apparently blew the cover open.. the entire inside was soaked. I called New England Generator and they assured me that tho they were extremely busy, they would come.. At about 7 :30 pm. 2 techs arrived they troubleshot the issue quoted me a repair cost and had us back up running in 30 minutes.. the techs obviously had been working straight out all day , but they were polite, professional and got the job done in minimum time in the dark in hurricane conditions. I highly recommend New England Generator for any back up power needs. Everyone including the office staff are top notch and know how to treat and keep customers. Joe Leahy
