I have had the immense pleasure of taking classes with Liliana, both at Snow Farm and in her studio. (Private lesson and with up to 8 students.) Liliana is an amazing teacher, able to coax talent and capability you never knew you had. In every class I have taken with her she has given far more than expected in every way. Liliana is not only a great glass artist, she is able to teach a beginner right along side an experienced lampworker with the patience of the proverbial saint, all the while sharing her talent and ideas with an exuberance that is truly contagious. I learned a long time ago that a great artist is not necessarily a great teacher, but Liliana definitely is.

Love to wear glass? When you need to step out of the ordinary into the extraordinary and can actually AFFORD to wear art, this is the place to be. REAL ART with a pedigree tale of your newly found treasure. Liliana G is a renown artist that lives adventures by controlling fire and telling a story. Each piece is her playfulness in molten sand and colors. Her crafts have been featured in many journals and she has created pieces for the MOFA. Hard to believe that this little gem (all puns intended), pulses in a quiet shop only broken through by her hearty and happy laugh, off the street in Natick! You'd think you would find this type of shop in Alexandria Old Town (without the Torpedo Factory sticker price!) Her shop is off the rarely pedestrian path (and there SHOULD be more foot traffic in downtown Natick!), upstairs in an inconspicuous staircase to the left of Comellas. Up the stairs, take a right and you will see a small office area PACKED with colorful, glistening glass baubbles. I am particularly smitten with her "berry" pieces and these little "urns" you can put essential oils in and keep close to your chest for an "anxiety relief" fix OR just to entice conversation. Mix, match, play, feel (under her help and guidance), there are pieces for all tastes and all budgets. Her glass beads work with Pandora or other "like" products. Exquisite work and a bubbly, effervescent personality that is infectious and charming, both the owner and this is a girly dream of a shop will capture your imagination and your heart. Liliana Glass Beads & Jewelry will be closed through Spring and part of Summer Check in often, and visit in the late Summer/Early Spring, when her mail orders will also revamp.

Wow, what a great glass experience! I attended Liliana's Shard and Hollow Bead glass at Snow Farm Art in Williamsburg and could not have had a better experience. Lillian is a terrific instructor. She possesses great depth of knowledge and practice and is able to explain the detail of a project very clearly while still allowing us the opportunity and freedom to personalize our goals and direction. She creates a wonderfully supportive atmosphere in which you feel completely free to take the information given and follow exactly or take a completely different tack and discover new creative worlds. Snow Farm is a gem of a facility from workshops to instructors to food. Having such marvelous and talented artists like this come right to our backyard to teach is a gift to us all.

I've made things and worked in the craft and art community nearly all my life; so I tend to be fairly critical when it comes to the details and finer points of good design. That said, Liliana's work is truly masterful. Her focus and attention to detail show she has a real passion for the work that she creates. Her attention to form, the vivdness of her color palette, and pure creative zeal shine through in every facet of her work. I am so excited with the work that I just picked up; and can't wait to go back.
