Guides are very knowledgeable. Can get crowded at the top. The gift shop has more stuff than you could imagine.

Went on the Sunset Hike with Friends of the Blue Hills. Was a fabulous event! Always a great day hiking here.

Fantastic views especially on a clear day. Can see downtown Boston, south shore to Hull and west easily 40 miles

Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory is the oldest continually operating weather Observatory in the nation.
You can visit and see both the history of past accomplishments in Meteorological study at Blue Hill and the current studies and scientific exploration being done. It is a great place to hike and can be driven to by arrangement.
We are open Saturdays and Monday Holidays 10 AM to 4 PM, Sundays from President’s Day Weekend to the end of December and every day by appointment 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. You can phone to set up a tour or other educational program any day 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. 617-696-0562 or e-mail anytime
