I've been going to Lumiere for monthly facials for 5 months now. I have nothing but great things to say about the service as well as the facials. The place is extremely clean (and that's #1, in my book) the service is wonderful - Rosa is very knowledgeable about skin care and the price is perfect! I had my eyebrows tinted by Kayla but sadly she is now working out of a different salon - but I loved how they came out. I think Lumiere is a perfect fit for me!

STAY AWAY. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. The woman who runs this place has NO idea what she is doing. Very hard to schedule the appointment, they never answer the phone or e-mails. I got a Groupon for a Couple's Massage, which I thought would be nice for my boyfriend and I. Total waste of our time. Took forever to book and then I got screwed over in the end. So, here's what happened.. I tried and tried to get a hold of someone so I could book an appointment, via phone and e-mails.. for weeks. I finally get a response via e-mail. I asked if I could schedule for that Saturday. She said "Do you want to come this Saturday?". I asked if she had a 3:00? She responded a day later with "For this Saturday?" Then when I responded with "Yes, this Saturday. Do you have 3:00 for this Saturday?", and she wrote back another day later "Please call 781 3540750" What a waste of time. So I was back to square one again. Trying to call and getting no answers. Finally got an answer the following week. Tried to make an appointment for that Saturday.. she said they are not open Saturdays..? Oooookay. (Why would she even ask in the e-mail? It also clearly says Saturdays 8:00-5:00 everywhere for their hours). So I asked her what the latest appointment was on a Friday that I could take. She booked me for a 7:00 a few months later. So my boyfriend and I were really looking forward to getting a massage together. That Friday finally comes along, I'm at work, and I see a couple voicemails from Lumiere in the morning. The voicemails saying that I was LATE for my 10:00 appointment. (????) I called her back saying I had no idea what she was talking about, and explained that I had an appointment for 7:00 that night, not 10:00am?? She said she had me down for 10am, and they waited ALL morning for me to show up and that I owed her a cancellation fee now. WHAT!! I said that there was no way I would schedule something during my work hours, and she refused to believe me. She said that they would've never scheduled a 7:00 because they aren't here that late. SERIOUSLY?? Their hours clearly say Friday 8:30am-9:00pm, and she TOLD ME ON THE PHONE that was the latest appointment I could book for!! ALSO.. I thought normal businesses call and confirm with customers the day before, to avoid mistakes like this from happening? I got nothing. So.. what they do at Lumiere is they mess up scheduling on their end and then say you owe them a cancellation fee. How ridiculous is that? What a total waste of months of my time. Anyway, I refused. At the end of our conversation, she told me to contact Groupon and ask for my money back. Groupon was nice enough to give me a credit.

I purchased a groupon for a facial with microdermabrasion and have been calling this spa nonstop (during the day and evening) to book an appointment but no one answers the phone. I also left an email early in the week and still no response. On my day off I decided to go to the spa and see if they had any availability but the doors were locked and it didn't look like anyone was there even though their hours are 8:30am to 9pm. It's disappointing as I was really looking forward to it but I feel like I just got scammed out of my money. Customer service needs to be highly improved. Don't recommend.

As some who works in the hospitality industry, I understand 100% that things always happen that are beyond your control (clients are late, therefore you are running behind for your next appointment). When Lumiere Day Spa called to cancel my appointment, not once, not twice but three times (all within an hour to my appointment) I was not upset, I was annoyed because I kept looking forward to my massage but I was not upset. The last time they called to cancel "postpone" my appointment, they were kind enough to offer me an extra service (pedicure, extra time for my massage), of my choice as an apology to cancelling my appointment for the third time. I was thrilled to see that they were really trying to make things better. Once I showed up, the lady who greeted me (based on her accent I will say that her first language was Portuguese), she started of very nice until I mentioned how I was also getting a complimentary service .... She went on to tell me that I was not going to get any complimentary service because they were just too busy & they wouldn't honor this any other day. She said that they were very popular & they always had plenty of clients & this is why they cancelled me the previous times. I was made feel like such a j*** for asking about the complimentary service, they had offered me in the first place (it was like I was in an episode of the twilight zone)!! Goes without saying that I walked out & took my business somewhere else. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Lumiere Day Spa in Lynn to anyone.

Unfortunately, I cannot speak for the services; this review solely relates to the scheduling process. I have never written a negative review but thought that my experience might be beneficial for others to read as they are deciding where to book an appointment for spa services. I had an appointment scheduled for a Saturday at 9:45am. At 9:17am, while I was en route to my appointment, I received a call from the owner that she was having car troubles and that she was waiting for AAA and would be in late but expected to be there soon. I had brunch plans later that day and did not want to go to the appointment and wait, given that the timing of the resolution of the car issues was uncertain. I was unable to come in later that day and the owner did not have her appointment book with her at that time, so we couldn't confirm an appointment for the following week. We agreed that we would reschedule the appointment for another time. It was an inconvenience for me, but I understand that people have car troubles, particularly in the winter in New England. I called a few times the following week; no one picked up, and I was unable to leave a message, as the mailbox was full. After ultimately getting through on the phone, the owner, Rosana, disputed that she called me the day of the appointment, and is saying that she was there that day and that no one in the spa had car issues. This is clearly contrary to my experience, not to mention my phone log (the call was coming from them to me, not the other way around). She indicated that because I had called them and I had been running late on the day of the appointment (again, it was the other way around), I could reschedule for a $25 rescheduling fee. I was honestly shocked by this, given the inconvenience that they initially caused me and that they were then turning around and saying that I had been the one who had called in. I had hoped that my calls with the owner would have resolved the situation, but alas, that is not the case. I am not out any money, but was just inconvenienced and then made to feel like a liar. Again, this is very surprising to me. I hope that others have better luck with their scheduling. The other reviews on here speak for Lumiere's services themselves, which I cannot attest to, due to their car issues that they are saying never happened.

Go if you Can! Had the best massage ever. I had an appointment this morning, and was met with Rosana. She was great. Upon arrival i was offered tea and water. Took the tea. It was cold, hot tea totally helped. I was led into the massage room, it was the perfect ambiance. Dimly lit, soft music, great scent. The massage was AMAZING!!. Just the perfect touch and pressure. Got rid of my many knots on my back, and legs. I highly recommend this place if you looking for a great massage.

This place is awful! The worst facial ever. I have never seen anyone do a facial in a dark room. I seriously doubt this person was licensed. Wasted money. I could have had a 10 year old do a better Job. This person was no aesthetician!!!!! Do not go here
