My daughter and her friend has been taking lessons at SafeSplash Swim School in Lexington for 3 months and I cannot say enough great things about their swim lessons and instructors. They go above and beyond to make sure to teach the safety aspect and set a great foundation on the technique part of swimming. If you're looking for a place to learn how to swim the right way -- this is place!

From a seasoned purveyor of swimming schools/classes for a 7 year old, here is a word of wisdom. These folks are the absolute best.We tried a certain golden color fish school and private classes in other schools.Oh man, am I glad I found Keith, Elijah and other exceptional teachers. All this from a passing conversation with a parent at one of those birthday parties where adults get a sore neck from peering down on their phone.

Don’t look anywhere else. Transferred over from goldfish swim school. Such a wonderful parental experience and the teachers were so engaging. Very intimate and not hectic. And it’s quiet!!!! And for the first time I saw my daughter DO something in just 30 minutes.

We had a terrible time here. The instructors were very rough and insensitive. Our kid kept getting cuts in the pool and the lessons are in this creepy hotel. Run....

Our daughter has been attending semi-private lessons at the Lexington location for the past couple months. As a third-grader, she's playing catch-up a bit, but that works particularly well in the 2-person class. The smaller pool and setting has a very different feel from traditional swim classes that can be overwhelming for some children, especially those who may need to overcome some apprehension about the water. We have been very impressed with the encouragement and dedication of Keith, Helen, and all of the instructors. There is a rigor to their approach that is clearly rooted in fundamentals of water safety and survival, while also developing comfort and confidence with stroke development and breathing. The instructors, Helen in particular, maintain such active engagement and enthusiasm throughout the lessons that I can only image how exhausted they must be at the end of each day. Swimming lessons are a significant investment, and at SafeSplash I have never doubted that they take that really seriously and ensure that the maximum amount of learning is packed into each half hour lesson. We are grateful to have found this program in such a convenient location.

My kids are finally learning how to swim with SafeSplash in Lexington, MA! They have gone to other established, local group classes before and I was increasingly frustrated that they weren't progressing much after months. That's even when there were only 2-3 kids in a group class at times. But with SafeSplash, sometimes I see a major difference in their skills within a single class. Here, we started with a group class, 3 in a class, but switched to semi-private, 2 in a class, when I realized the effectiveness and value of their teaching method. Rather than a teacher having the group do the same skills practice, in SafeSplash, the teacher will single out each student and work individually on what he or she needs for about 5 min at a time while the other group member(s) remains in the pool and watches. This individualized attention really helped my kids with different attitudes towards the water (one has always been scared of water and used to cry with showering almost every time... not any more!) progress at the individual's own speed with exactly what that person needed. Helen (she is the best) is a really fantastic, experienced teacher with a bubbly personality that engages her students. At the same time, she is firm and authoritative, and kids will follow her instructions. She seems to know exactly what an individual kid needs in order to progress to the next step. Other teachers have been variable, but SafeSplash appear to be moving towards Helen supervising the teachers and working individually with students (and teachers) as needed. Keith, the manager, is around the entire time and also gives feedback to the teachers and students in real time which also adds to the learning. Speaking of management, Keith has been so flexible and willing to work with us and our crazy (and ever changing) schedule and that has helped us tremendously. I cannot say how much that flexibility helps working parents like us with multiple kids. I was giving above feedback to Keith yesterday when he suggested that I write a review. It's about time that I stop just raving to others and put my words in writing. I highly recommend this place!

They advertise that they welcome special needs kids, so I asked for private lessons for my autistic daughter who I don't feels is appropriate for group lessons cause she won't safely sit and wait her turn. I even offered that I could be in the pool. They said they won't accommodate kids who can't safely follow instructions. No wonder drowning is a leading cause of death in autistic kids. Thanks for nothing.

Growing up, I learned swimming in a large pool with a lot of kids. Grateful as I am to have learned successfully, over here, with a clean smaller sized pool, and clear instructions for just 5 kids at a time in the ParentTot class, I am really seeing what a quality class looks like and 1:1 attention. I am so grateful that my daughter is here, with excellent guidance and teaching from Miss Helen and Miss Emily. They really take their time to explain the movements, and how you can practice with your child. I really like that they encourage and support the parents no matter what your comfort level in the water is. I highly recommend this class, especially for children, like mine, who were initially so scared to get in. Thank you SafeSplash!

We have done many of the local swim schools over the past 5 years and this is the first one where my daughter has actually made progress. The other swim schools have more "bells and whistles" but this program will actually get your child to achieve water safety skills. Took me a little bit to get used to the non traditional setting, but I'm so glad I did!!

My daughter did 2 sessions at Lexington in June and LOVED it. I think she made more progress in 2 SafeSplash classes than she did in a previous year plus at Goldfish, and the smaller setting is perfect. We are really glad we made the switch!

Staff was rude and chastised my children for playing behind the hotel. We are paid guests and had not a single complaint from any hotel guests or hotel staff. Mind your own business.Update: My children were not shooting anything at the hotel and no one even exited the rear of the building.
