Came in to a cute toy shop to buy my daughter a toy. She wanted one that had small pieces, and my wife and i said no. after she had a normal and brief 2 year old meltdown, i received parental advice from the condescending and snide woman running the shop. after the fifth rude remark, i decided i would buy 1 toy… and only 1 toy… ever. never coming back - shame because they do have a good selection.

Cool toy shop with lots of interesting things. I have to stay the older woman working was extremely unfriendly. I walked in smiling and very pleasant… the employee did not greet me with any warmth. She asked if I had a mask, when I said no but I am fully vaccinated she then proceeded to tell me that I had to leave if a child came in the store(this is June 2022). I spent about $200 and she never smiled and seemed genuinely irritated that I was there. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Great store for all sorts of games and toys. Lots of "thinking games" and a wide variety of games for playing on long drives or afternoons. Very friendly and helpful service, like all the stores in the area. We've shopped here several times when we're in the area with kids. Highly recommend.

Horribly rude customer service! I've turned and walked out on 2 occasions and now after my last experience there I don't plan on ever returning, nor will I recommend this store to others. I will direct them instead to Tom's Toys, or Matrushka's in Great Barrington. Pretty sad that someone who owns a children's toy store can be so rude.

I am a Lenox local and a single mother. I want to start by saying where I go my son goes with me. It isn't always ideal, but it's the cards we are dealt and I make it work. With the recent COVID crisis I have been teaching him to swim and wanted to check The Gifted Child for some toddler swim gear. Tried to shop there after they reopened and had my young son with me of course. We were standing outside in our masks when the employee greeted us at the door. I have to give her the credit of being quite kind about it, but she informed me that they did not allow KIDS in the store!!!!! In the only KID store in all of Lenox...they don't allow kids inside. Meanwhile all the other stores in town do. This isn't my first strange encounter with them. I shopped here another time pre-covid era and the employee at the time (as a previous reviewer mentioned) was very cold and not friendly around my friend and my's children. I am more than a supporter of the health and saftey of others, but social distancing and mask wearing can be done at every age. I clearly wont be able to shop here, but even if I could I am not sure I would want to.
