Certainly have a huge selection of items but their produce and especially meat are sketchy. I've had to return steak, pork and chicken too many times. Avoid the deli meat. And stay far away from seafood. Be sure to check all expiration dates on anything as they are not vigilant. I prefer self checkout at any store but theirs is terrible. Their tech design was clearly focused on assuming you're a criminal. I've never been at another grocery chain where I've had to get help bc their register locked due to it thinking I was trying to steal something. And they are ridiculously understaffed so don't expect expedient help when it happens. But don't worry, they have those weird robot things wandering around getting in your way so why hire anyone to help at checkout. At this point I only go there for one or two items that I can't find elsewhere. Made the mistake of doing a full shopping there today. Quickly remembered why I don't go here as soon as the self checkout decided I was stealing beans. I stood next to the flashing light wondering when someone would bother helping me. Hate this place.

The pharmacy is incredible. Great people working and not a long wait everyone should fill their scrips there.

I work for a non profit that helps provide thanksgiving for families and went to pick up turkeys. Not seeing any signs on limit, I picked up 4. I went to go into a regular line but noticed the lines were pretty full and I only had 6 items so I went to self checkout. The woman at self checkout treated me like I was intentionally trying to pull something over on them. Mind you, I was asking questions because I genuinely didn’t know. She ripped 2 turkeys out of my carriage after asking if I could do two separate transactions. I understand following a policy in place, but there is a way to go about it without treating customers the way she did. It was just shocking especially just coming from Big Y down the street where every employee I came into contact with (at least 4) was extremely kind and helpful. Very disappointed with my experience at this location.

It’s gone down terribly. Yesterday one register with a line so went to self checkoutCouldn’t proceed with order had to get an assistant. Terrible technology. Big Y down the street has excellent self checkout …. much better and it’s a better overall store. I go to SS for certain things but decided it’s not worth it. I won’t be returning and the staff is stale and indifferent also

The stop & shop staff was very nice but the cashier didn't have a bagger my own daughter had to bag the groceries in the cashier couldn't even say thank you to her for packing the her own they need to teach them a little bit of manners to say thank you for packing your own

If you shop here, make sure you check expirations dates! I have constantly complained, and have gotten nowhere. Meanwhile, four employees stand around chatting, and the manager dismissed my concerns. We are talking about meat here folks! EXPENSIVE meat!
