I am a woman and have always been treated with consideration at Joe's Garage. Condescension toward women coming from car repairmen is a complaint with which I am very familiar, so I value the fact that Joe and Austin give me straight talk. They've serviced my car to them for several years now and they have been good about diagnosing and correcting problems, have told me clearly when a problem is beyond them (my Prius was having problems with the big battery), have suggested good alternatives to the town's exorbitant Toyota dealer when they couldn't make the repairs. If the part is going bad, they show it to you, explain how it should work, show you where the problem is with its functioning. Their prices are great.

Great service each time! Not only does he tell you what's wrong with the vehicle, he gives you multiple pricing options between used and new parts before fixing. Once it's fixed he goes out to show you the root cause of the problem, and part that was replaced! Not every mechanic does that, and that's why I always go to him. Good service, reliable and an experienced mechanic to ensure your car is good to go!

Not women friendly!!! :(I was in the area with car troubles relating to my front tire. I called around to see if any place could look at my car to see if it was ok to drive or to see what needed to be fixed. I called Joe’s Garage, and described my problem including details about the noise that my breaks made and the noise my tire made when it rotated. I was cut off, and then told that my engine had probably seized and I probably had no oil. Well, I checked, and I had plenty of oil and my car is running completely fine. It’s just a tire problem. I may be a women who doesn’t know the ins-and-outs of cars, but I know what is a tire problem vs an engine problem. After the man on the phone told me this, I quickly hung up and called elsewhere. I suggest you do the same. This place is 100% not woman friendly. Go elsewhere.

Ladies, BE AWARE... not women friendly!!! When I called about a noise and problem coming from my front tire, the man on the other end told me that my engine had probably seized because I had no oil. After he told me this, I politely hung up and checked my oil... I had a more than acceptable amount of oil and my car's engine was running just fine. Even though I may be a woman who doesn't know everything about cars, I know the difference between a tire issue and an engine issue. I was appalled at his major overestimate and found help somewhere else. I suggest you do the same!! From the phone call I could tell that Joe's is not a women friendly establishment and I wouldn't trust my car in that garage. Ladies, GO ELSEWHERE!!
