After some revision I have decided to change my review with Budget Auto. I perhaps reacted to what I initially perceived as an unfair bill, however, after reasonable negotiations I can say that this business operates fairly, although I would still suggest anyone getting auto work done get a estimate in writing so there is no confusion on anyone's part. Apparently, in this case, the confusion was mineThanks Budget, for treating my lady with respect.

Like another reviewer said, Kevin is absolutely salt-of-the-Earth. He's a great and honest operator with a long track record in the industry. He helped me with diagnosis and repair in a pinch for a fair price, and gave me a complete picture of my car's health. Absolutely salt of the earth guys. I’m a woman and disabled, and I try to take good care of my car. This was the first time I used them, I will be giving them my business in the future. I had another personal mechanic who is good for other stuff but I needed electrical diagnostics and other repairs, and had to blindly find another place to address a problem after trying everything else to fix it myself, no success. Found Budget on Craigslist. I try to stay automotively informed and Kevin was on the same page with me, everything he addressed in phone calls, I knew about previously. The price was unbeatable and It’s nice to be appreciated and looked after as a customer! I plan to keep a working relationship with this garage. I’m obsessed with my 03 Subaru wagon it’s got a swapped out engine and transmission with low miles. I could not buy this car on the market right now. A lot of people don’t understand private mechanics and that their garages are going to be dirty and have stuff everywhere, they spend more time working on cars than trying to keep the place pretty. Personally I would not trust a pretty garage. These are car people. Not a drive through rip off corporate garage. Drop a bag at Budget Auto Repair, you won’t be sorry.Services: Electrical repair

Ok I will say this I had head gasket done on my old Pontiac at first Kevin seemed knowledgeable brought my car in November of 2012 did not get back until may of 2013 so many trips back and forth car was totally screwed up when I finally got it back it was not close to being right 3 more times back at his shop thank God for AAA and I was done and definitely not what I called budget he definitely was not cheap I would never use this place again even his own mechanics disliked him. By the way he likes to erase bad reviews but trust me I'm a legitimate personService: Engine repair

Whatever you do do not do business at this place It looks like a pile of trash because it's a direct reflection of the people who run it. I have had nothing but shoddy work neglect and abusive language from the people that work at the shop.

Kevin the owner sold me a dangerous vehicle. It did not pass state inspection so instead of fixing the problem he hid extreme rust with fiber glass and painted over it. The following year inspection, I was alerted to the cover up and was told I was driving a very dangerous car and it would take thousands to properly fix. That car is now in the junk yard. Not only is this guy dishonest and does bad work he is selling dangerous cars without conscience.

Very unresponsive. It would always be me having to contact to check on the status of the repair even though at the end of every contact, I was told they would reach out to me by a certain day with updates. In the end, the job was completed satisfactorily, but it was extremely frustrating to always be the one reaching out. If I didn't call for a week, I would not receive a call back; not even to say that repair is delayed/going according to plan, anything. Not to mention several deadlines were blown. And by several I mean over 4x I was told "Your car will be ready by this day" and it wasn't (and of course, I had to be the one making the call only to be told it would not be ready).

Kevin is the absolute best. I brought my vehicle to him because it needed new shocks/struts and also because it failed inspection due to a small emissions leak. He was quick with the repairs and his prices were unbeatable. When it turned out that the emissions leak was still not fixed (not his fault - small emissions leaks like the one I had can be near impossible to find and repair) Kevin made it his priority to solve the issue for me. He went above and beyond all expectations to find and fix the leak, spending many, many hours on my vehicle. He did not charge me labor for any of the repairs after the initial repair due to his very generous warrantee policy on repairs. He is honest about what repairs are needed, and when there is a less expensive option he would always offer that instead of recommending expensive parts replacements. He also gave me rides to/from my vehicle when needed. If I have a small issue with my car that is a quick fix he has often allowed me to swing by at a moments notice for minor services like helping me put refrigerant in my ac at no charge. I would highly recommend Budget Auto Repair if you are looking for an honest skilled mechanic! Thank you Kevin for all you did to help me!Services: Steering & suspension repair

I've had repeated issues with another company's product and when that company tried to get one over on me Kevin (the owner) and all of the employees at budget auto went to bat for me. They spent hrs on customer service when they knew they were losing money just to help me out. Cant say enough good things about budget auto!

Really bad customer service tried to take advantage of me on price of job and then when I refused the service he charged me storage fees then called me a freeloader and a comment of you people don't like to work but I've been working my whole life lol anyways I couldn't overcome his ignorance so I gave up and walked away and learned my lesson well nothing's going to be a budget from a place called Budget Auto

To say the least don't waste your time. He is very judgmental likes to stereotype people basically told me that my people doesn't like to work and that we're entitled. Definitely needs a training and customer service and the place itself needs a deep cleaning. He swears he knows the law but obviously he doesn't in once I pointed out that to him he was furious. It's sad that 2022 we still have to deal with people that are ignorant and judgmental. But people like him you give them kindness back and they don't like it. I hope that someday he realized that being hurtful to people is only hurting him.
