A really cute little art store in Great Barrington--a little pricey and yet we always find ourselves not only browsing but buying. Not a huge selection of true art supplies; rather an appealing mix of supplies and kitsch to draw in the tourists.

Great store. And they just hung a dozen of my color photographs on their white wall above the merchandise! I invite all to come enjoy the show during store hours. One of the best art supply stores I have ever been to. They offer everything for your creative side, whether you are a preschooler looking for chunky crayons, stickers and a newsprint pad or a professional searching for high-end oil paints. While it is rather narrow with somewhat cramped aisles, it is so generously filled with art materials that you won't mind. The front of the store has items that are more gift oriented. The back is where all of the action lies for someone like me. They have some generous sales here, including one during the winter where everything white is on sale. White paint, canvases, sketch pads and paint pens included. When you are surrounded by piles of snow from three blizzards in a row, you will see that the primary colors out here are all tempered by a vast amount of white. The staff is very helpful but not intrusive. When I have had a few d*** questions that I was almost embarrassed to ask, they were really sweet about my lack of knowledge. This area of Massachusetts is brimming with artists, galleries and gorgeous vistas that will turn anyone into an ambitious artist. Get your supplies here and enjoy yourself.
