Probably the rudest experience I've ever had. I can understand why the reviews are so terrible.

I have been buying and selling coins for 15 years with Joe, always treated fairly He is very knowledgeable about the value of old coins and paper currency.

Had the owner give me an estimate on a couple coins this afternoon. I didn’t like the offer so I said thank you and began to leave when the owner flipped out and started yelling at me. I didn’t do or say anything to set him off. He told me to F&$k myself and mumbled a bunch of nonsense, blah blah blah. Completely unstable. Plenty of other places around and the shop looked like a garbage truck backed up and unloaded through their front door. Bye bye

Just discovered this place a few weeks ago and was excited to go see the inventory and support a local business in town. That excitement went away as soon as I got there. First off the place is a mess to say the least. The old guy there was extremely rude to me and followed me around like I was going to steal something. The entire experience was awkward. He yelled at me a few times telling me not to touch this and don't go over there. I bought a few packs of cards and left thinking he was having a bad day. Well I just went back there today to give it another try and when I rang the doorbell he acted mad that I was there. Didn't say a word to me when I entered the store and then yelled at me not to touch anything. Needless to say I won't ever be back. I'll just go to a big retail store the next time I want cards. Was trying to support local business but he doesn't deserve my business or my money. Good luck

Honest and fair buyer, gave me more than 2 other places offered and was knowledgeable and willing to answer questions I had. Probably only going to use this place for silver/gold now. Thanks!Edit- after reading some of the bad reviews I think I should say, I personally didn't experience anything like that but the guy is clearly OCD and possibly on the spectrum so I can see why the way he acts might come off as rude. He's just not a very social person I believe and has probably had people shoplifting for years hence the doorbell.

My oldest son is Autistic and I used to bring him there to look at old cards and coins which he really is into. Last time we went my son was walking around as he always does and looking at the Pokémon cards on the wall and the owner or employee screams at him that he can’t be behind the counter. He goes, “would you go behind the counter in Walmart” acting like he was stupid and did something horrible. I got him out of there as fast as I could and then called them after to give them my thoughts on the situation. Whether he knew he was Autistic or not you don’t treat people and especially a kid like that. My son has gone to that same spot hundreds of times and it’s never been an issue before. The place is a dump and reeks like cat pee so you can’t tell what is a display or a counter. It was just sad to see a kid that did nothing wrong get berated and now never want to go to a store he used to love. We found a better spot in Leominster and have been spending our money elsewhere. We’ll never be back.

“Hurry up, I have work to do”That was the greeting I received on my first (and last) visit to this store. I try to shop local, but this will never ever be on my list again.

Very poor attitude and unfriendly. Wife visited with my 2 girls to buy Pokemon cards and the owner asked my wife to give him her private bank card pin number. He was highly offended when she refused and he responded with "most customers just give it to me and I'll forget by tomorrow anyways". This is highly unethical to be asking customers to give out their pin number. Buyer beware.

Just discovered Gardner Coin after working in the area for many years. Love the place! Prices are very fair and variety of coins available is good. Found the owner(s) to be thoughtful, knowledgeable and professional.
