Disappointed with the taste. The overall taste was beer and very very very sour . Not traditional miso you’re expecting to use for a traditional miso soup .

I have bought South River Miso for years, I think it's one of the best if not thee best miso out there. My favorite is dandelion miso. The 3 year miso is excellent too. I don't think I will ever buy a different companies miso. I'm so enjoying South River Miso.

Highest quality miso I have ever consumed. An Incredible food and medicine, and it's crafted within the U.S.! This miso was one of the things I could consume when I was going through some difficult health struggles with severe adrenal exhaustion. The Chickpea is my go-to. I'd encourage anyone to incorporate this into your diet, but also learn about miso in general. This company clearly has high standards.

This is a long overdue review. I have a weak digestive system and was also at one point allergic to soy. Found South River's products and tried their chickpeas miso. The quality is excellent, and my stomach feels good when I start my meal with a small bowl of the miso soup. Highly recommend it. Hope their products are available again soon!

Years ago, I took a tour of South River's plant and was impressed by the care that went into making their products. I have bought their products many times in the past and recommend them highly. I especially like their dandelion-leek miso paste and some of their other specialty misos made with chick peas and adzuki beans.You can also buy their products packaged in glass--perfect if you like to avoid plastics.

Don't tell anyone but South River's Azuki Bean Miso is the secret ingredient that makes my homemade salad dressings a raving success. Everyone who tastes it wants to know the secret. EVOO,, Moither's ACV, ginger, garlic, carrots & 2 tablespoons of Azuki Miso. Blend in a magic bullet.
