A model for what a local hardware store should be. Staffed by a mix of adults who know exactly how to help you. They also employ local kids who are usually pretty helpful, though they are just teenagers so manage your expectations! They are kids working a first job, and I see a lot of people (both in the store and on Yelp) mistake inexperience with rudeness. Selection is good for a local place, though more niche items may require a trip to a larger place. Importantly, they do not carry much of anything in terms of wood and lumber, though they have a decent power tool section, including Craftsman, Milwaukee, and Stihl. Painting, plumbing, hand tools, grilling, house care, yard care, and screws are examples of the areas they cover pretty well. Value is good as well, matching or beating that of places like Lowes or HD, and Ace is a local mainstay.

Great store that literally has a bit of everything! Very clean and well organized store. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. They are a bit on the pricey side but its Concord. I highly recommend this store.

I am a local Concord resident and also a residential Realtor and I love having Rocky's Ace Hardware in town. Yes, you can save money at Amazon or Home Depot, but what price can you put on your time. Every time I go to Amazon or Home Depot I have a question and there is not a person in site to help! You walk into Rocky's Ace and are warmly welcomed and staff is always abound to answer questions. Hands down one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had. Tom

Very attentive and knowledgeable service. I needed a 50 cent nut to fix a bolt on a chair. Morgan and Will spent a great deal of time searching for the correct fitting item and even attached it to my chair. Service is OUTSTANDING- the kind of local store we LoVE!

Do you know what a wire nut is? I am pretty handy around the house, but a big part of that has come from asking questions. I asked for wire nuts as I came in and was sent to the nuts and bolts isle. The two people there were of absolutely no help on any of the items that I was looking for.

Rocky's is a great hardware store. I've been shopping there regularly for at least 15 years now: they may not be huge, but they usually seem to have what I need and are good at handling special orders too. The staff is helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Definitely my "go-to store" for hardware needs.
