I donated a pet bed to them. The side door had a free pet supply area, but I did not speak to any staff. The entry was around the side of the building.

Great rescue doing important work and friendly people. Love our Winnie we rescued. Like any small rescue they could use a bigger building and more resources but that's something most rescues struggle with.*To respond to this reply from the owner, that was the point of my review, they dont have the grants larger places do but are doing amazing work without it. it was not meant to be a negative, more of an observation of the amazing work they do with what they have.*

I haven't been here yet, but I will try to find a dog here at some point because these people write up so much about each dog, I just know they really care about the pups!

I recently adopted a young pup from Mutt Rescue of Massachusetts and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The service provided was thorough, the pricing was reasonable, and the entire process was really enjoyable. The owner took a lot of time into helping us visit and find the right match for us. Lucky enough, we found the perfect match for our family and I would highly recommend Mutt Rescue to anyone looking to adopt a furry friend. Thank you!

We had the best experience adopting our dog from Lori! She was super helpful leading up to adoption day and was very responsive. She cares deeply for all of her dogs and helps families find their perfect match. Adopt from Lori, and don't shop! We couldn't recommend her and her Rescue more.

My daughter and I lost our elder dog last year and finally decided to start looking for a new fur baby. We had contacted another shelter but wanted to look at several. So since we live in Chicopee we decided to go over and see the dogs in person. We had looked at a couple on the website, but had time so went over. The people at the shelter were so nice and you can see how much they love these dogs. Even though it's a smaller shelter we loved the fact that they use an open crate policy so all the dogs fall into a pack mentality and aren't isolated. We loved several of the pups and would have taken several home if we could, but we met our little Quinn. She is so sweet and had a lot to learn because she is only 8 months old but are very thankful that we were able to talk to Lori who owns the rescue. We didn't plan on taking a dog home that day but we don't regret our decision. This is a wonderful rescue and encourage everyone to visit and hopefully find your forever fur baby.Thank you Lori and Mutt Rescue for saving our puppers and taking care of her until we found her.

We adopted our puppy on Feb 19th. The adoption process was very informative, even as an experienced dog owner I learned a few tips.

What a great thing this rescue does. We visited prior to adopting our puppy, and found the rescue to be wonderful, plenty of staff and volunteers and all the dogs well cared for. After this visit, we started the process and today adopted a beautiful puppy. The adoption day was perfect !Thanks to Lori and her team for all they do to help these wonderful puppies and dogs.

Adopted last winter of 2022 from them, dog was from down south. Just came back positive for heartworm. Stats show a large major of dogs from down south have them. Why weren't these treated when he was rescued? This is a prime example of how there is still corruption in puppy rescue organizations. They don't want to pay for them because they want you to pay for heartworm treatment....A blatant lie? They tested positive for heartworms the SAME week i took them home from your 'establishment'....and it was JANUARY! SORRY!, No mosquitos in Jan. where i live! TRY AGAIN! People are seeing right through your shallow tactics of switching blame. It would be nice if you could take responsibility and own up to it like grown men/woman should.

My wife and I adopted our sweet baby, Tillie, from Mutt Rescue on 2/17. Lori and the team were so kind and sweet. They let us see her first and foremost when we walked in because for them, the dogs come first, and they wanted to make sure Tillie was happy and comfortable with us, and us with her.Afterward, we had a video to watch that had a lot of very good information and helpful hints for caring for our baby girl. Afterward one of their team members will come and help walk you through your adoption packet. They go above and beyond for their found fuzzy family members that they'd entrust to you to care for as much as they do.They don't treat them like commodities, they treat their rescued animals like their family. They put a lot of love and time into what they do. I appreciate how much love Lori and crew have for their work, and for each four-legged life they touch. I implore you, if you're looking to rescue your next fur baby, please reach out to them. Support these people, they will help you. Their patience knows no bounds, and their diligence is unlike any ive ever seen in the animal rescue space. They will help you find your perfect pooch, you can bet on that.

My husband and I went to mutt rescue, Inc last weekend to adopt our dog tillie, after our first dog had passed. From the moment we walked in I was impressed with Lori and her team. I could tell they loved every dog that was there. If you're looking for a new furry family member definitely stop at Mutt Rescue, Inc. Lori and her team are amazing. Attached is a photo of tillie in her new forever home.

Rescued a chocolate lab from this fine establishment in Jan. of 2022. The dog had come from Arkansas, notorious for heartworms. Had the dog tested THE SAME WEEK after i brought him home, HEARTWORM POSITIVE! Mutt Rescue assured me that the dog was in good health. LIE....IM sure they'll write back like they did last time trying to blame me for not putting my dog on heartworm meds and this that and the other thing. Guess what, I adopted him in the WINTER, yes that's right, had him for a week, no mosquitos where i live in the winter, sorry! They just dont want to pay for any treatment that is going to put a dent in their little wallet. Knowing the dog came from down south they should have taken his current health and potential risk factors a little more professional. With them knowing it was my first dog recued, i feel like they took advantage of my lack of knowledge on the subject/issue. All and all, hundreds of dollars later, the dog is now heartworm free after a year long treatment that our vet put him on, thought they would atleast like to know how the dog is doing.... This place could have went out of their way and made sure the dogs they took in were in good health before sending them to their new owners, but NOPE! Dont wanna put a dent in their profit! You think they'll come forward and chip in for the heartworm treatment I had to pay for? Probably not....It would be nice to see places like this step up and say their sorry and own up to it instead of failing to take responsibility and try to switch it around. I say all of this very passionately due to the fact of not only my love for them, but for them not being able to speak up for their own innocence. If they have the audacity to respond negatively, that just further solidifies lack of morals.....IF YOUR NOT RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO INVEST IN AN ANIMALS HEALTH UPON RESCUE, DONT RESCUE THEM! This place did give me the best dog EVER and I am grateful for that, they just need to touch up on general practices...

Adopting from Mutt Rescue was a wonderful experience. Lori and the other people that she works with are so helpful and knowledgeable. Lori responds to emails quickly and doesn't leave you hanging. Their adoption process is thorough and they really want you and your new doggie to succeed. We are so happy that we adopted from them and will recommend them to anyone looking for a new doggie friend!
