Great location, small rooms and beds, reasonable room rates. We did not have enough room to open our suitcases.

I should have taken the recent reviews negative seriously and stayed at another hotel. It's in an excellent location near Harvard Square. I booked a Standard Queen room that is advertised as having a queen bed, when measured it was a full size at best. When following up with staff they would not confirm if it was a queen size bed (clearly I am not the only one to notice and complain). They offered a 15% discount on the stay. I've called twice now since leaving and still have not received a refund on my stay and the staff was rude and quick to dismiss this as my issue to fix with the credit card now. Save yourself a headache and stay somewhere else.

Nice location in Cambridge. Very nice rooms. Pretty up to date. No major amenities but water and coffee available 24x7 in lobby.
Rooms: Room was a little small but fine for one person.
Safety: Generally very safe location. Many people walking the street until late.
Walkability: Restaurants and bars everywhere in the area. Harvard Yard close by.
Food and drinks: No food available onsite but restaurants everywhere within walking distance.

The hotel is under construction for a few months but it receives customers. It is therefore a nice hotel but with the disadvantages of the work.

Falsely named Hotel Veritas… carpets in room and hall filthy. Deck pilled with old leaves & rusty chair. Wall gouged. Shower has mold. Under Reno, sure, but you cld still run vacuum and patch damage due to wear & tear. Staff great (x3 women) then Ryan at checkout gives me grief, attitude. Nice ;) end to $1k bill for 3nites! Ugh.

I booked this hotel due to the location being close in proximity to Harvard Square. However, the rooms and service was certainly not worth the price that was paid for it. In the room, the interior was already old and extremely small to move in, with parts of the window broken (causing terrible noise cancellation and hence you could hear most things happening in the street) and the table also partially broken. The staff were helpful and friendly until the time it really mattered.
During my stay, on the 27th of June, a really loud noise woke me up in the middle of the night. When calling downstairs to complain about the noise (and the next day inquiring about it), I received different answers, one that construction was happening and one that something in the building next door blew up so they needed to use a generator (I eventually learned it was the latter, as shown in the image attached). I kept hearing the loud noise day and night for the remainder of my stay before I decided to move out (even a week after I moved out I believe it was still there, loud as ever), as it was interfering with my sleep because of how loud it was. When I asked to move rooms to one not directly overlooking the source of the loud noise, the person at the front desk just said they couldn't do anything about it but at least offered me a 15% discount for my stay, which I appreciated (and the only reason I am not giving this a one star). However, when my friend who was also staying there asked (serviced by someone else) to move rooms or for a discount, they only said that it was the problem of the next door neighbour and they were not responsible. So ALL the guests had to listen to that while they ignored that being their responsibility.
If the hotel room was better maintained or if they actually showed concern for their guests I might understand but given how little they cared how the noise was affecting their guests, I would highly recommend not staying here. To the staff at Hotel Veritas, please do show more concern towards your guests. This is at most a two star hotel, not a four star as it says, for everyone in the future's reference who wants to stay here; definitely not worth the price. I would suggest looking at more hotels of value nearby such as the Marriott or Hyatt properties; which may be further but provide better bang for the buck (I ended up staying at a Marriott property).
Rooms: Extremely small rooms, with broken window and table. Clean for the most part, but certainly not well-maintained.

It's small and old, and the service isn't great. The only advantage is that it's close to Harvard.

Excellent location near Harvard Square. Horrible rooms not remotely worth the money. Standard Queen room is the size of a closet with a bed smaller than standard Queen. Closet too small to hold enough clothes for a weekend. No draws to enable unpacking, but no space to leave a suitcase open. Small window looking out on brick wall. Staff with “attitude “ in response to complaints about room/bed size. At more than $400 per night this is a total rip off. Pay a bit more and stay at The Charles.

Stayed here a few times. Before this time I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Now not so much.- beds had weird black marks on them- toilet plunger was not working properly so would make noises throughout the day and night- wifi wouldn’t connect- 0 sound isolation. Fraternity across the street could be heard all too well

Wifi didn't work the entire time for us, front desk said "it's not their job" to fix it or offer a discount because of the problem. Stay away from here. Also the sheets had some weird marks and if you're on the first floor, the noise from across the street is very loud until around midnight.

So, I stayed here July 25&26 and I loveddd almost all of the staff. There were two guys that checked me in and were amazing and super sweet! There were also two women that I think did overnight that were great! I was staying there for a big exam and the guys knew that and one ended up bringing me a fridge for my waters and snacks. I requested a quiet spot and they put me in one. It's a smaller hotel, and their customer service is great and makes you feel comfortable! Would highly recommend staying here! Also, shout out to the manager/owner for hiring such amazing staff!

Wonderful hotel - the rooms, service, and location are amazing. The staff - Ryan, Dahlia, Michelle, and Andrew are incredibly attentive and helpful - simply the best! I checked in for the week and learned I needed to extend my stay. They went above and beyond to make that happen. Please try this lovely boutique hotel that you will want to return to again and again once you've stayed there!
