University Park - 91 Sidney is an amazing place to call home. We have been staying here for many years and love the location, building and the amenities. The management office staff are very helpful and responsive. Specifically, Joseph A from the management team has been extremely great to work with and very accommodating of our requests. Overall, we would highly recommend this place.

I have been a proud resident of 91 Sidney for the past two years. I highly recommend living at this property for a number of reasons. It's safe (concerige for entry and packages), in a neighborhood with plenty of conveinces (walking distance to public transportation and central sqaure), and most importantly it's well-kept and well-maintained.I want to give a special shout out to operations manager, Brian Nickerson. In addition to being friendly and personable, Brian is also very attentive to residents and ensures his team provides thorough and exceptional service. He has gone out of his way to help me on several occasions and to ensure that service requests are tended to in a timely fashion. I've never gone a single day without hearing back from the team on a question I've asked about my unit and that level of attention is rare in managed buildings. I have loved living here and if it weren't for needing to relocate, I would have stayed. Thank you to Brian and the 91 sidney brookfield properties team!

100 Landsdowne is one of a kind! The building is beautiful with great amenities and attentive staff. It’s in the heart of Cambridge and offers a lot of perks. I definitely recommend this location and building. Neighbors are friendly and diverse. I’m grateful to be a part of this community and looking forward to renewing my lease. If you’re looking for a beautiful, luxurious home with everything outside of your door this is the place for you! Kyle and Brian on the maintenance team are super responsive and professional

I recently moved into the building and could not be more impressed with the level of professionalism and care I have received thus far. My initial visit to view apartments was promptly followed up with personal emails and calls by the Property Management Team at the leasing office. They made the entire rental process simple and streamlined.

It's nice but expensive. Many Asian people live here.

The biggest farce you will encounter -- 91 Sidney and Brookfield are run by scam artists that pridefully prey on students and young professionals. Apartments run $200 above market price and are far inferior in quality. 91 Sidney and Brookfield like to stare at their own navel. Having lived in a Brookfield-owned property, I can tell you Brookfield et. al will not give one single s--t about your living experience. The noise insulation is awful. You'll hear your neighbors constantly. Some of the buildings, including KBL, are registered landmarks and provide significant tax incentives for property managements to provide new leases to clueless tenants. No wonder management charges exorbitantly high prices for rent, management, and public utilities. The funniest joke of all is I read somewhere that management hired writers to provide positive reviews on all of their properties. I am sorry to say that this won't work, just read all of the other negative reviews of tenants who actually had a real living experience. Look at reviews of other property owned by Brookfield.. As someone once said in another review, "living here is an exercise in futility." I could not agree more.

I have lived here for 9 months now. The apartments are well designed, the staff is courteous, and the walk to Central Square Station is 10 minutes. The lobby and other common areas are well maintained. This place is A+

We lived here for a few years. While Dana was the assistant manager, we really enjoyed this apartment complex and had no major issues. Dana always answered her emails. Dana then left and was replaced by Jamie and Torrey. After Dana left, the consistent responding from management ended and I had to contact the Brookfield Properties general email twice because I could not get responses from the 91 Sidney St. managers. In November 2019, our heat broke and would not work consistently. We sent a maintenance request for it to be fixed. Torrey assured us that he was trying everything that he could to fix our heat, and sent out the poor maintenance people (who are VERY nice and awesome but are just not HVAC people and did not know how to fix our heat) several times to fiddle with our heat. We sent email after email, getting sporadic responses from Torrey and spending the winter in several layers of sweatshirts and pants. Finally, on FEBRUARY 24th 2020, I could not take it anymore. I sent an email to Brookfield properties letting them know that I would withhold my rent until our heat was fixed and that the Cambridge Housing Authority was sending out an inspector. I received a call the next day from Jamie saying that the heat would be fixed immediately. I am still so confused as to why we had to wait so long for something that seemed like a quick fix. PLEASE be careful if you decide to live here. Especially if you have small children, pets, or someone who is elderly. Besides freezing, we were okay, but I would be nervous for someone who is not perfectly healthy.

I hope I can give 91 Sidney 100 star instead of five only.I advise everyone to read the most recent comments about Sidney 91.If you check this reviewers comments to decide whether you move or no, I moved to this community on Oct 17, 2020 and I can say this is a perfect place to live in.The management of Sidney 91 is extraordinary, the management office will do their best to make you feel happy and comfortable. Before you start your lease, the leasing team (Mr. Lee Tran) will listen carefully to your recommendations and preferences, he will help you to find the best apartment that match your requirements. In my recent experience with Sidney 91 management, before you start your lease and after you start the lease you will have the same interest and consideration. These people are amazing.I faced a little problem in my apartment. I contacted the management office (Mr. Torrey Martinez) he was extremely helpful and decisive he contacted the maintenance team directly and continue follow up with me and the maintenance team in the same time. Although this problem happened at night after office hours, all people come within 30 min. The director of the maintenance company was great person, he came to supervise the repairs inside my apartment and also continue to follow up with me if I need additional thing. The building is very clean and they sensitizing it continuously. This is a wonderful place to live in.

1 star is generous. We cannot wait to move from here. If you want to overpay for what you get, then come rent here. We have had repeated issues with maintenance that management keeps giving promises to fix, but never do. If you work from home, then forget counting on a reliable environment to do your work/have virtual meetings etc. Even before COVID you could count on loud hammering and drilling etc, which can start from 6:30am onwards. In the summer, if your unit even remotely faces the back courtyard, count on not being able to open your windows for air/cooling, due to smoke funneling into your apartment from people burning their food on the bbq's (every. single. evening. in the summer, late spring, and early fall). The courtyard noise also really carries, so if you want to sleep (or appreciate quiet at any time) when a group wants to be outside, count on saying goodbye to any peace. ALL of these above issues have been made aware to management - either directly or thru the front desk, but there's usually just a brushing away of the issue or an empty promise that something will be done. But usually there is no follow through. Further, there have been repeated incidents of one (and sometimes both) of the elevators being down (e.g. between Aug 2020 and now, one or both elevators have been down for appx 50% of that time), which means a really long and unpredictable wait time simply to exit the building or to go back to your unit. Additionally, the management team does not follow through with policies around COVID - people who don't live in this building can be seen joining others, unmasked, in the common rooms and common areas etc. These are the same rooms that management then tries to offer to their residents as a way to get away from the persistent hammering and drilling that goes on in the building during the day.

We lived here for over 4 years. Great location and building is beautiful. The management used to be very good but a few years ago when the management member changed, everything went downhill. Maintenance requests were rarely addressed on time. Heater issue, washing machine broken, etc... I wouldn't recommend this place unless there is a change in the management team again.

A close family member of mine has posted a review regarding some unpleasant experiences we were having with the leasing office. I don't know why it is no longer accessible but I believe it is somehow an obligation for me to speak out. Renting a new place is a huge decision, and people have the right to know if there is any potential concern for the place before they make the decision.

Super unresponsive to requests after move-in.
