Fish and Bone isn't just a pet shop; it's a haven for pets and their devoted owners. With knowledgeable and personable staff who greet every furry visitor with treats and affection, it's no wonder why pups like mine drag their owners straight to its doors. Add in their fantastic loyalty program, and you've got a winning combination that keeps pets and their humans coming back for more. If you haven't experienced the magic of Fish and Bone yet, you're missing out on a Newbury Street gem.

Staff are always incredibly helpful with great recommendations-- I have a very picky cat and he's absolutely loved all of the toys and treats I've purchased here. I have also ordered online and had a very good experience. Definitely my favorite place to get pet supplies and I've recommended it to all my friends!

Hi! We met a staff member there who was very knowledgeable, a lot of great recommendations, and was very kind to us and my puppy. I didn’t get her name but I have a photo of her with my dog!

We have a new dog and we were excited about making fish and bone our neighborhood store. In true Newbury street style, instantly judged for the food/treats I buy by puppy, who we love and pamper. I understand dog food is a deeply personal choice for people, I expect my pet store to respect my choices, which are made via research and consultation with my breeder and vet.The owner made comments about letting my pet live its best life. This is not her subjective right to influence people with tik-tok science on what she thinks is the best life for your dog. Please do not get advice from your pet store owners. Talk to your vets and breaders. Read books like "the forever dog", written by a vet and a nutritionist. We have been raising 3 generations of Keeshonden and work with the best breaders in the world. We give our pets the best quality life. I feel like I need to open a pet store nearby. This place purposely pushes open farm dog food because they get higher commisions. It isn't a great dog food, as they claim. It is full of add in minerals and vitamins. It isn't awful, but certainly not premium. The frozen raw choices are awful, even though I was told the owner feeds raw. Tuckers has a single veggie source (pumpkin). They don't carry enough protein options for things such as answers dog food. Everyone who feeds raw should know to rotate their proteins, as good practice. To be clear. I was refused service because I choose to feed my dog fresh raw food. Certainly not the diet for all dogs. But we raise keeshonden who require quality natural raw food to maintain their coats. We let our dogs eat raw bones, never cooks. I would never accept a freeze-dried bone as a substitute. Can you please let the person become more educated on the safety of raw bones to dogs of all ages. I do believe there is a study out there that is highly misinterpreted as assuming dogs choke ok raw bones. The study made no distinguishing difference between raw or cooked bones. Cooked bones can severely injure or kill a dog. All dog owners should know this. As can antler chews, which you openly push at your store.I am glad my dogs have me as an owner.Bad advice for your dogs at Fish and Bone. Stay safe people!

Awesome little shop. Staff is super kind and friendly. They always have nice brands and great foods. Nobody nearby sells Open Farm so it's nice to have a local spot. A bit small inside so if it's busy be prepared to wait/squeeze by but overall it's an awesome little shop. Found out about them through their Portland Maine shop and will be back many times to come.

Very personable, helpful, and knowledgeable staff who are true animal lovers! They also have an amazing array of high quality food, treats, and other necessities for your cat or dog. My dogs and I stop by at least once a week to get some of their treats that they sell by the ounce.

So glad I came across this store! As a first time cat owner, there is a lot I didn't know about food, litter, toys, etc. The staff here has been beyond helpful in answering all my questions/concerns and giving me their honest thoughts about what might be best for my cat. They greet all customers into the store so warmly and make you feel very welcome. Will always be coming back here for all my pet related needs!

Stopped by before picking up our new pup from the airport for last minute items. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hazel enjoyed a nice cold drink from her new Springer bottle on our way back home!
