“I visited Row House on a free trail class and I LOVED IT. Me and my sister had never rowed before besides playing around with the row machine at the gym a couple of times. We arrived to our class a couple minutes before and our amazing instructor Kaila made sure we were both set up correctly, had proper form, and knew how to keep in rhythm. The class was at a great tempo and Kaila did a great job engaging, pushing, and coaching the class. Me and my sister had a great time and were sore in all the right places the next day.”

“I've been lifting for years and wanted to try something new. I was in love with my previous gym, but moved and had to find a new one. I have really particular standards when it comes to gyms. I was nervous to try crossfit but Eastiefit is an incredible community of athletes of all kinds. Coaches are both patient and motivating, they'll definitely push you but it's in a really motivating way. Everyone is really knowledgeable about movement and injury prevention, especially for women. Its also a holistic approach to wellness, and the facility is always spotless. Love it here, highly recommend.”

“Romel really shows the importance of starting by learning good form instead of just jumping into heavily lifting immediately. Recommend to anyone looking to get into fitness and to better themselves.”

“This is a great addition to Charlestown and such a good workout. You don't have to be a runner to do their classes. It's making me enjoy the treadmill, which I always thought was the worst piece of gym equipment. I really enjoy the classes offered in each room. Friendly staff and teachers, and easy parking toom”

“Joining Body + Fuel has been my best decision since moving to Dorchester. The gym and it's trainers are excellent! Special shout out to Dante, he's an amazing personal trainer. I've been working out with him for 9 months and I have never felt stronger or healthier. Dante is knowledgeable, solution- oriented, and fun to be around. His functional strength class is a must-try for anyone looking for results. Make sure to check it out!”

“I’ve been doing CrossFit and HIIT for 6 years. Just moved to Boston and had to find a gym. I am ecstatic that I found Invictus Boston-Fenway. I absolutely love the coaches! They are so helpful and encouraging ALL THE TIME! I can finally do pull-ups and on my way to get double unders and handstand walks.Such a friendly and supportive atmosphere you will not regret joining!”

“I've been a training client of Cade Frodel's for several months, and I'm a big fan. After years of lifting, I had hit a plateau. Cade came up with long-term plan for me -- complete with tailored workouts that changed every ~2 weeks -- that resulted in rapid gains, finally breaking that plateau. I highly recommend Cade to anyone interested in personal training.”

“i’m going to give broadway jui jitsu a 10/10. I recently became a member of this gym and let me tell you the people here are amazing. Before I knew it I had friends and training partners that I learned so much from and love terribly. Before I came to this gym I never liked working out. I love coming here and learning how to defend myself. I’ve learned so much from John, Lisa, Demetrius, Dimitri, Joe, AJ, Sensei SaPedro, Sensei Jay, Sensei Fong, Sensei Larry and of course my ukes. Do yourself a favor and join a gym you actually like by joining broadway jiu jitsu. I absolutely stumbled on a pot of gold here. I have had a blast. It’s been five months of training and I think I’ve accidentally learned how to be an assassin. It takes a lot of work to stand back up when you get knocked down a million times but I can personally say after that million and one time it gets a little easier.”

“The only time I’ve seen muscle growth when working out was when I joined B3. Chris is an amazing coach who explains each workout and gives a workout routine that actually helps you build muscle. Love working out at B3!!”

“This is hands down the best CrossFit gym in Boston. No other gym can compare to the space, community, social events, and programming (and I have tried other gyms in Boston!). Come here if you want to experience the epitome of what CrossFit can offer. Most CrossFit gyms dream to be what CrossFit Southie is!!”

“Jasmine taught an awesome trial class! I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in trying CrossFit! I felt safe performing my deadlifts and learned a lot about protecting my lower back! The rest of the workout was just hard enough that I felt comfortable doing the exercises and I had fun throughout the entire experience! Thank you!”

“This class has been a game changer for me. From the first day I stepped in, I was greeted with love and respect by everyone. The class is intense but I go at my own pace. The knowledge that the coaches have is outstanding. They teach you real life scenarios and how to defend yourself. I never want to leave. Thank you for this amazing experience.”

“I just completed a 28 day challenge @ The Fitt Pit! We were given menus to follow as well as motivating daily messages from coach Andre Thomas. Our challenge included 4 workouts/ week! I feel incredible! I lost 11 lbs and my body feels solid and toned! I made a commitment to joining this incredibly supportive gym post challenge. I love the workouts and I’m restarting the weekly menus. You won’t be disappointed….Get Some!!!”

“This is the best gym I've ever trained martial arts at and it's for a great price. $139-159 based on your plan and it includes a full weight room with free weights, over a dozen martial arts classes throughout the week, plenty of open mat space for training on your own, and a locker room with showers and towels provided by the gym. The instructors and staff are super friendly and the community at the gym is also great.”

“I loved this class! The instructor, Yana, was great. I appreciated that she gave me personal feedback and took the time to make sure I was on track (unlike a different pole dance studio I went to). The pace of the class was great, and I had so much fun!!! I definitely recommend”

“Can't say enough good things about this place and its people. I've been a member a little less than a year and in that time have met countless amazing people and gotten to know the EBF team a bit. They put a lot of effort into the culture that they create and it shows. It's one thing to create a great fitness experience, but to do so in an environment that creates psychological safety with inclusive and uplifting energy is a rare find. As a fat queer person who has spent time in a bunch of boutique fitness spaces in Boston, this is easily the most affirming. The team is thoughtful, responsive to feedback, and takes steps to make personal relationships with clients. Hands down my favorite place to sweat. Also, the sauna is A+”

“I always thought I’d have no business going to a UFC gym since I’m not a fighter. This place proved me wrong. The owner and the coaches are incredible and the people here feel like family. The vibe is welcoming and encouraging. You don’t have to be a fighter to come here. The HIIT classes are a fit for any age or fitness level- you can go at your own pace, the coaches are GREAT at adjusting the workouts to fit your needs. I had no experience in combat sports yet this place made me fall in love with kickboxing as my cardio. This is your sign to give this place a try. I promise you’re going to come back after your first time.”

“Love Healthworks! I go to Back Bay and it is so big! I never feel crowded. There are so many good group fitness classes. The steam room is where I end my day at least once a week, it is luxurious.”

“I’ve been a member here for a few months now and I love it! It’s a few minutes of a walk from the Arlington T stop. It doesn’t look like your typical CrossFit location, it’s inside of a really nice building with a furniture store and deli, I got a little confused my first day finding it. Every single coach is great, they give great feedback and are very helpful. You can check the WOD on an app called SugarWOD and their programming is excellent. I always look forward to their workouts, they’re just the right amount of challenging. I’ve been to many CrossFit gyms and this one I highly recommend!!”

“Wow-- I love this place. I've been looking for a new gym and considering a few of the high-quality gyms around Boston. After narrowing it down to Equinox and Republic Fitness, I decided to do trials at both. Equinox was nice, but Republic Fitness truly impressed me. Republic Fitness has all the features you'd expect at a nicer gym (new workout equipment, clean locker room, etc.) But it was the staff that made me sign up for a full membership immediately. From my first day, Lindsey was very helpful showing me around, and all the trainers seemed friendly and helpful. And the front desk-- amazing! Rooska and Tanisha are both incredibly friendly and supportive. While I found other gyms exuded an attitude of detached "coolness", Rooska and Tanisha led the way in making Republic Fitness feel warm and inviting. So glad I found this place!”

“Friendly staff, kept clean and a great location... can't ask for much more! Signing up was easy and the woman behind the front desk was very helpful and answered all of my questions. Everyone does their part to keep the equipment clean which is easy due to the supplies left out by the staff. I emailed the manager of the gym with a question before joining and he was quick to respond and answered everything. I have never had to wait for equipment due to the abundance of treadmills, bikes and weights. Getting to the gym can be hard! Beacon Hill Athletic Club makes it easier.”

“I’ve been absolutely blown away from the Brighton location orange theory! The gym has always been intimidating for me and I tried a ton of other workout classes that felt competitive or unreachable. This Orange Theory has always made me feel welcomed and wanted, and I always feel great after working out here! The daily challenges are fun and you get to do something new everyday. The coaches are wonderful and supportive, and will push you to do your best. Shoutout to Coach Lydia, she is an incredible coach and I love her energy & vibes!!! Thank you so much, Orange Theory!”

“I discovered BURN on ClassPass and loved it from the first class. It is a small studio, but I have never felt over-crowded in a class. The equipment is in great shape and I like that they have a lot of different weight options. I have taken a few instructors and all are friendly and helpful! Something I love about this studio is it welcomes all ages and abilities. It can be very intimidating walking into a new place and this studio does a great job of welcoming all. I am excited to try all the different classes they have to offer! The only downside is since it is such a small studio, they do not have a ton of class times to choose from. But that being said, I have never had an issue getting into a class or finding one that fits my schedule. My favorites are the TRX Bootcamp with Alex and the Power BURN with Jonathan. I can not recommend this place enough if you are looking for a strength training workout!”

“Fitness and Recreation Centre is part of John Hancock Students Village, which also includes Agganis Arena ( named after BU top football/ baseball player). The centre is equipped with free weights and various physical exercise/ work-out machines, including tread- mills. Good facilities and novel rooms for individuals and groups. However, capacity is limited and leads to increased waiting time during peak hours. BU should keep the charges subsidised to encourage students for fitness. In the village context, high-rise towers for students' residence are appreciated...”

“I have been coming since November. I come before work. I arrive about 2am. The staff is great. I have seen a few others using equipment that allowed me to learn how to use them. I end each visit with either HydroMassage or the standard massage chair.I haven't been in the locker room or downstairs free weights. Someday,I will venture around.I find it a relaxing, no pressure experience.”

“FitChoice, the undiscovered gem in the gym business, is crushing it. 24/7 access, clean, friendly staff and ownership, and rarely more than 10 people there at once. I've read complaints about their pricing being too high but you must understand a few things with the price:* You're paying for the 24/7 access, which is a superb amenity. Electricity is not free, people.* You want a higher-than-average price because you get higher-than-average clientele, simple as that. By essentially pricing out people you don't want there anyway, you ensure a much more pleasurable atmosphere for loyal members.Want to settle for the cheapest? Planet fitness or Crunch would love to have you- where no one wipes down machines and people gawk and stare while they're waiting 15 minutes for the next available machine.FitChoice by a mile.”
