My 2 year son was inpatient at MGH, it was Christmas Eve. He needed a specific medication compounded, the hospital could not do this. The place we normally go also could not, because it was Christmas Eve. He was able to be discharged and home for Christmas because Seth at Gary Drug made it happen.

We had a medical emergency while visiting Boston with my parents and we needed a wheelchair in a hurry. Seth was so kind and helpful and got us everything we needed. It was a friendly and helpful bright spot in an otherwise dark day.

This store is a gem. It has what you need. The customer service can not be beat. I stopped by with my daughter today. Among other items, she needed a ruler. They had extra ones which they gave to her free. They go over and beyond every time.

Great resource for renting a wheelchair by the day! Friendly service. You have to put down a deposit and the cost of the rental is taken from that and they refund the difference.

What a gem! They don’t make ‘em like this anymore folks. Everything about the store is appealing from the shelf presentation to the contents, as well as the service. Friendly, congenial, professional. As an out-of-towner I was impressed.

Never had a bad experience here! The people are very friendly and helpful and they’ve always had what I needed. Got my COVID booster here quickly, can stop in for OTC stuff, and have had no issues with medications when I’ve had them filled here. Highly recommend :)

Easy to find, close to the Charles/MGH T stop. Was able to get a prescription filled that required compounding.

I needed a compounded medicine and fortunately the primary drug store recommended Gary Drug. They're a short walk from the Charles/MGH T stop and MGH itself, so it was easy for me to find.As one of the other reviewers noted, the store is "teeny tiny", but the staff are helpful and they were able to compound the medicine.Unfortunately I didn't have time to check out the rest of the store, but I plan to if I need a refill. It looks like they have a lot of amazing items.

I love these guys—even after we moved I continue to go there. They are extra knowledgeable, it’s easy to talk with the pharmacist right away with questions (versus being a cog somewhere else) and they are exquisitely careful about getting everything rightWhen I have travelled and needed stuff the big chains have had to order what would seem to be regular run of the mill meds (versus Gary has always had what I have needed).There have also been a few times over the years where the pharmacist has come out to explain important info about the meds/med allergies based on my history that my doctors haven’t caught.Plus they stock some awesome non pharma products, including Mason Pearson hairbrushes (an amazing gift for people with nice hair). There aren’t many authorized vendors and it isn’t unheard of for ones at online stores to be counterfeit.Love them!!

Gary is the best drug store in the City of Boston. The staff is so attentive and helpful and the service is so quick and personal. Even though I live in South Boston, I would never consider using a different drug store. They are so much better than a big-box national chain. And, the shop is absolutely adorable and chocked full of handy items - I feel as though I am stepping into a shop on Diagon Alley! The poor reviewer that said the pharmacist called the doctor requesting clarification - why wouldn't you want that level of service? And maybe the pharmacist just wanted to ensure that the reviewer was aware of potential issues with the RX.
