My passion/hobby/career is to travel the world & explore/research all-things-clean-beauty.. Today I had a 10/10 experience with Mads & Mary at your Beacon Hill location! The ladies were so knowledgeable, paired w/ excellent communication skills as well as so graciously allowing me to PLAY w/ every*single*product in the store & engage in deep convo about each brand! It is my pleasure to take the time to write a positive note about this experience as I understand that a 5 review is the highest form of support.. well deserved! In gratitude, Laura L.

Long story short, I'm very impressed by Follain's customer service and am so glad I decided to order from them!I ordered a few gifts online for delivery and figured it wouldn't be too much of a hassle since I'm a local customer. Unfortunately there was a mix-up with USPS and my package ended up getting forwarded to a different address. I reached out to Follain to make sure the address was correct, and Felicia confirmed that it was, so I figured I'd wait a few days and see if it'd get rerouted. After a few days of not hearing back from USPS, Felicia took the initiative to reach out to me and offer to send a replacement package, which arrived two days later! :)

Great store but you need to keep your working hours updated. Came all the way over to your Beacon Hill location as it showed as “open”both on Google mapa and your website, just to find out it is currently closed. Disappointing.

I came in looking for family Christmas presents, and a lovely lady named Emily was so polite and helped me with everything I needed! If I could give more than 5 stars for her customer service I would! Can’t wait to come back!

Always a pleasant experience. The ambiance of the shop always makes me feel relaxed. I stopped by to refill my soap bottles yesterday and didn't realize how sticky/dirty my bottles were. The staff member assisting me didn't mind at all and pleasantly cleaned + refilled. Thank you!

Customer service needs work. I have been coming to this location in Beacon Hill over the past 5-6 years since it opened. When I came into the store today there was an employee training going on and the trainees didn’t have headphones in. When I asked for assistance I was made to feel like I was interrupting the training when the store had just openned. Furthermore I asked for assistance in selecting a new shade of makeup I had previously bought that the store didn’t have in stock. I was about to place an order with the store for pickup at a later date when another group walked in and the store attendee stopped helping me and began helping two other ladies refill their soap. After standing there for a few minutes not being helped by the other employees being trained or original woman who was helping me previously I left without making a purchase when I would have otherwise. It’s not custom to begin helping someone then stop for an extended period of time for a company that prides itself on making customers recommendations to customers on the products it sells- Covid and extenuating circumstances aside.

'm a product junkie. I frequent Sephora like some frequent a coffee shop. I returned from Paris this year with an entire bag full of face products worth over 150£. I've turned in my eyeshadow and lipstick for sunscreen and moisturizer. Basically, I've outgrown my youth, and entered adulthood. And like a friend of mine recently stated, all you need in life are good underwear, nice skin, and beautiful fragrance. C'est vrai.I strolled into Follain on a weekday after work. My friend had sent me after hearing about the store in a local magazine, knowing I would love everything about it, and yes, yes I sure did. The shop owner, Tara, was super friendly and talkative. We shared the same undying love for clay masks, local products, lavender, and all things related to natural skin-care. She had so many amazing products that I wanted to purchase--I could go crazy in this store. With rows of masks, lotions, tonics, moisturizers, cleansers...it's just. incredible. Things I've never seen before at Whole Foods, Barneys, Saks...this gal knows her stuff. Plus, it's all made in the US, and she's got vats of local soap that you can refill like a beer keg, encouraging customers to not waste plastic, and use her beautiful bottles...(hello gifting season!) I could see Tara whipping out some incredible gift baskets around the holidays, too. (hint hint)So finally! A store in Boston, or maybe even in the entire world...(because I've never seen something this cute) that carries all the products I've ever wanted/dreamed of. And the space itself. I'm just, ready to move in.

I’ve found some gems here, specifically the Laurel line of products. Knocking one star off due to price, but overall a lovely little spot with great, natural options. Be sure to try out the “everything” refillable soap if you live in the area!

Literally my favorite place to spend money. I can’t ever go back to get my face/body products anywhere else. Their staff is knowledgeable and passionate about the products and their curation of products is amazing.

Great products but horrible customer service. The woman at the counter was just staring at me and my friend and the other worker didn't acknowledge us or offer to help either. I was hesitant to ask them for help and just picked whatever I thought was best for me. Funny thing is that I got an email a few days ago from the store director checking in to see how my purchase was. I emailed about my store experience and I never got a response back lolol. What is the point of even emailing then? If you can't handle complaints, don't bother sending emails in the first place.

Hitting up one of the Follain locations during my first trip in Boston was on top of my list! I went in just before closing today (Sunday) and received stellar customer service while shopping for a facial mist. A lovely young woman helped me through all the choices until I made my choice. I'd definitely shop here again....next time I'm in Boston!!!

I'm ready to pay $150 for a lip gloss, mascara, and moisturizer. I'm not ready to pay that much for service worse than a CVS makeup counter. I have heard rave reviews about this store from a friend and was excited to finally make it here on a visit to Boston. The staff could not have been more rude or disinterested in the products. The way the make up is displayed, you really need a tour guide - lots of pencils and sticks of various brands and type - concealer, eye pencil, lipliner just mixed together and tossed in random cups. I had to pry information out of the sales people. We were the only ones in the store and clearly wanted and needed help I was glad to find that unlike other natural beauty stores - Credo for example - Follian really has a stringent selection process. Still, I'll be returning the moisturizer with SPF that did nothing to protect my skin from the sun and left me red and blotchy.
