Cashier Shannon refused to sell me alcohol because she assumed that I knew someone else in the store when I clearly did not. Even after the gentleman left in his own vehicle she was adamant that we came together. Absolutely ridiculous.

My sister held her son's bereavement reception here a couple of weeks ago. We had a room off from the restaurant which was roomy & nice. That was the best part. The cash bat was set outside the room along with the munchies she ordered. Before some got a chance to get some they were gone. They were changed $5 per person for these snacks. They cold buffet was pasta salad, cole slaw, cold cuts, bread/rolls, bags of chips along with various veggies & condiments. The pasta salad was very good but the rest mediocre. The bags of chips were off putting since they paid $21 per person. They should've had potato salad or tossed salad. The cheese platter had only Swiss & cheddar that were flopped on a plate all stuck together. The dessert was cookies that seemed like they came from a package. The meat was set on a tiered display which didn't hold much so was constantly low. They staff in the room were some of the most unhappy people I've seen. None of them smiled or even uttered a word to anyone. They swooped in & grabbed up plates even while we were still eating. The service captain was the rudest person. He never addressed my sister or her husband & when spoken to snapped his answer. Before half of the guests left they took the food away. When the arrangements were made the room was to be available for 5 hours beginning at noon yet the sign at the entrance said 12:45-3. We were pretty much hustled out. The person the arrangements were made with was not available & no one there had a clue. They finally found a woman who ok their payment. This was a hard day for our family & these people made it harder. I would never go there again or recommend it to anyone. I feel for $26 per person it was a big ripoff!

I ordered a Sam Adams and was pleasantly surprised to be given a chilled pint glass along with my bottle. Sometimes it's the small details that matters. I also ordered the Monterey Chicken which I can only imagine was a pre-processed chicken breast complete with artificial grill marks. The chicken was rather dry. I don't often use the salt or pepper shaker when dining, but I did this time. I ordered the mixed rice and cooked vegetables. The veggies were boring and certainly could have used a healthy helping of some seasoning...any kind of seasoning. The mixed rice on the other hand I really enjoyed and popped with flavor. Overall, not too bad, but considering that Devens Grill is right across the street, I'd probably be more inclined to walk over there.

People are nice but everything is expensive $10 to wash your car when I am pay $6 in my town for auto wash.shell has some of the highest gas in the country.

This is a mediocre restaurant in a great hotel. Looks good, but food is sub-par. For us, having been on a long road trip, it was convenient having this right in the building where we were staying. Two friends who live in the area joined us for dinner. They have eaten here repeatedly and their comment this night was, "it's day to day" but usually ok. (They especially like the wings.) For us, as mentioned in the first paragraph ... the best thing was the location. The Boston Clam Chowder was good - relatively standard with a very creamy consistency and loaded with chunks of potato and clams. I also had the grilled Chicken Fettucinne with grilled chicken breast, mushrooms, spinach, roasted peppers, asparagus in a creamy white wine sauce. Sides were limited and the Bacon and Brie Mashed Potatoes sounded good. On reflection, this miso-mash ended up almost like a mystery meal. (check my mushy photo). Just a plate full of glop. For such a fine hotel, this dinner was a big disappointment.

As I hit here 8-3-2018 3 hours after I arrived. I am still waiting to get my bill for the un-eatable steak that took 90 minutes to arrive to my table. Horrible service!! Horrible chef!!!

The store is well stocked (minus newspapers), staff is friendly and professional. Though not too busy, during periods when there are Reserve units drilling, you may find yourself waiting in a care line during lunch time for gas. Also, some items are a little expensive, such as iphone recharge cords. Could get the same thing at a nearby convenience store in in downtown Ayer for half. Brian Ghilliotti

Service is good Food is not that good, just convenient for being in the hotel The grilled items have black residue on them from not cleaning your grill, the taste is pretty awful. Your menu needs to be upgraded/seasonal as well as the quality of the food you are serving. I suggest a few healthier options

Had dinner two nights last week with colleagues. Food was mediocre. Had green bean appetizer and calamari the first night Chili was too spicy/hot- I am from Texas so I don't mind hot food- this was not tasty Fish was over cooked Second night had meatloaf- big portion but marginal taste Salads are large service was good We will stay at a close hotel several times a year and will not go back
