I’m sad to hear that this store is closing. Unfortunately I discovered them too late, wish I had found them sooner. Great produce and really friendly and helpful staff!

Great place for daily/year round local organic produce. If you have SNAP, this is one of few retailers where you can use your HIP benefits to purchase gorgeous fruits and veggies!

Nice people, beautiful produce and lots of other items at the store. The CSA share is a good deal--more than enough veggies for the cost and pick your own herbs, flowers, and fruits and vegetables. . Simple Gifts is a valuable member of the community, and has been for over 17 years.

I love this place!! It's a hidden gem! It's the perfect place to get local, organic produce, meat, and other natural foods (mostly whole foods but some interesting packaged food too!) It has a sort of co-op feeling/culture. They have plenty of information hanging up about the farm practices from their responsibly-sourced food! A lot of it from their own farm :) or you can ask any employee, they are all super kind and helpful ❤️

Simple Gifts farm and store has, to my surprise, almost as much produce and local goods stocked as a regular grocery store. Potentially soon (March 2023) to be under a new name, as it is undergoing being purchased by a new owner, Simple Gifts store offers a very wide variety of local and organic foods and produce - with a note of heavy on the produce portion, as most of it is grown on site. They also have a section of organic locally sourced frozen meats; locally produced and refrigerated beverages; locally made baskets; and several shelves of other goods specific to the pioneer valley. Since first visiting 2 years ago for a strawberry festival and stopping by a solely produce CSA share distribution room, it has expanded to a full line store. Excellent job by current store manager Tammy Ketcham for getting Simple Gifts store/market off the ground and operational, and for accepting local merchants into the fold. They also accept EBT cards. A+++!!!

I shop at the Simple Gifts Farm store regularly. It is great to have a place here in Amherst where we can pick up eggs, meat, cheese, vegetables, chips, ice cream, chocolate, and so on. The prices are sometimes higher, but more than worthwhile for the time saved by shopping in our own town rather than having to drive to Hadley and back, not to mention for the quality, local and organic.

We are longtime fans of Simple Gifts Farm. It’s more than a farmstand, it’s a community resource - a place to go walking, to gather and play/listen to music, to swap recipes, and to learn about heirloom vegetables. Everyone there is kind and friendly. And the food is delicious! Greens all winter long from the hoop houses. We love the pick your own - best strawberries around!

Outstanding farm store with a wide variety of super fresh organic produce as well as locally sourced packaged products. CSA shares are generous with many delicious options. PYO fields provide extra helpings of herbs, select produce and flowers. PYO Strawberry time is a special treat. Organic beef, pork, and poultry are always available as well as frozen entrees, soups. Fresh Kombucha and other healthy drinks are plentiful. Festivals, porch jams, and events for kids (recent pumpkin carving workshop) add to the pleasure of this hometown treasure.
