Best pick your own strawberries place around. Great family-owned farm with a large selection of local meats, eggs, and produce.

Awesome time picking strawberries. This is the way to go, so much better than store bought. Ended up getting a lot

It was a cute little farm, the food was tasty, along with the Rootbeer float. Enjoyed the hayride, haven’t been on one since I was a kid so it was cute and fun. Got to pick my own Pumpkin, which I thought was pretty cool. Overall, we had a great time.

Been going here for years for PYO strawberries, blackberries, and pumpkins. Great atmosphere and fully stocked farm store! Try the breakfast meats. Seasonal food truck is always great!

Super quaint ? picking experience! The staff were all so sweet and helpful. The strawberry milkshake was delicious (my boyfriend enjoyed the dairy) and the strawberry lemonade was refreshing. Looking forward to going back when the blackberries are in season!

My absolute favorite local farm. I’ve been taking my family here for years. We love the seasonal activities with Strawberry seasons being out absolute favorite. You’ll can always expect fresh with you buy local and Shlagel Farms is where it’s at.

Me and my family went on June 4th, 2023. We picked strawberries and hoped for blueberries, but they weren't ripe yet when we went. The strawberries were sweet and fresh, I loved the vibrant red they were. We brought our own tubs, and they knocked off a dollar for each container you bring. They were priced by the pound as stated on their website. I recommend going all the way to the back row at the end because people usually pick the ones in the front row. Those are bigger and have more surrounding them. They also sell honey and other products inside where they weigh your strawberries. Be prepared to be sore the next day because it's a lot of bending down. I can't wait till other fruit picking seasons come around because it's our favorite farm.

Great place for kids. Strawberries were pretty good. The process of picking and buying was pretty simple. They also had fresh honey, vegetables, and eggs.

We had a great time strawberry picking here with friends! Staff was extremely friendly and the strawberries tasted great!! The only thing I wish the farm had are baked goods with strawberries and/or strawberry smoothies/milkshakes or something since I’ve learned afterwards that there are some nearby farms with those. But this farm had great strawberries and it’s one of the closest strawberry picking farms around DC so definitely worth a visit!

We had a wonderful experience today. Our first time ever strawberry picking! This place is HUGE, and everyone is super friendly. Not to mention, the strawberries! So so so many strawberries, and they're absolutely delicious. We picked a full flat box and it was only about $42. We'll definitely be back next year!

My favorite local farm. Great place to go for local produce, eggs and meat, honey, jams etc… Usually open on Saturday mornings on the farm and setup stands all around southern Maryland. Also known for strawberry season. Fun place to go with the family and have ice cream and other treats on the weekends, or you can find a weekday to pick without the crowd.

The majority of the pumpkins were dead or rotting. Pumpkins were also paid for separately from admission fee. There was no hay ride.Update: Hi owner! In response to your comment to my original review, yes, I was there today. Despite being the last day of the season, I expected a good batch of pumpkins. This was my 1st time visiting this farm so a "heads up" about the quality of pumpkins would've been appreciated before paying. I've also been to other pumpkin patches where the pumpkins were "free/included" in the admission so this is new compared to my prior experience. Even though you stated that "it's made clear throughout your time here" as you wrote in your response, it's difficult to turn away when you have toddlers after you arrive. All in all, it was an "ok" time but for the readers who read this review, please be warned not to go here close to Halloween Day. It's just not worth it. Thank you!

Amazing. I go as often as I can. Never been disappointed in anything, in fact I'm always extremely happy with the food (and other things like flowers) I get here. Prices are very reasonable, too. Staff is all great as well.
