Great staff and loved Dr. Gauthier. He explained things very thoroughly! Sad that our baby needs surgery, but feel confident that Dr. Gauthier will do a great job!

Our kitten Nox was referred to CVSS from Hunt Valley Animal ER for a urethral stricture repair. Prior to getting him to CVSS the only option we had heard of was a full PU surgery, which seemed extreme for such a young kitten. Dr. Gauthier called me shortly before he went in to surgery to discuss and explain the possibilities depending on what he found, and put me at ease with his agreement that if a less involved surgery would be effective, that would be his preference as well. Nox received his preputioplasty, recovered VERY well and quickly, and is just the happiest little guy now that he is all healed. Thank you again to Dr. Gauthier for his detailed, measured approach, and wonderful care of our little guy!

Absolutely amazing service and care from the front desk to the doctor. Our 8yr old husky had TPLO surgery and it went so smooth and they got her in the next day after the consult! Don’t hesitate to schedule with them!

The staff were so kind, caring and attentive. We were brought right back into the exam room upon walking in the door. Everything was communicated clearly to us and felt comfortable asking all questions.

Dr. Carlino and Loni are taking wonderful care of my little dog Charlie. Unfortunately Charlie’s broken leg did not heal with conventional methods so Dr. Carlino and Loni are using a different type of therapy to heal his bone. They are doing an awesome job and I highly recommend the rehab department at CVSS!

Pre-op visit was seamless from scheduling, contacting our vet, obtaining needed records, entry registration, tech and surgeon’s assessment, educating us, to operative scheduling. All questions were answered and a realistic plan for our dog’s procedure and payment were established. Perhaps a bit heavy on owner tech capabilities for some but it was fine for this 70 year old. Each person not only interacted with the people, but also with our dog with obvious affection and delight in their job.

Dr. Chris Gauthier and his team were extremely compassionate and professional with my puppy, Gaia. She had a vaginal prolapse. She also had what they believe may be cancer somewhere in her body as there was something in her lungs. I had gone to several vets before Dr. Gauthier took my case. The first vet suggested euthanasia right before the scheduled surgery to place the protrusion back into the body. Another vet didn't think she would live and suggested that in a month, I would have to make a difficult decision. Both vets meant well and were just trying to prepare me. Dr. Gauthier said that my dog deserved relief and proceeded with the surgery, even though other vets suggested he probably wouldn't take her case because of her condition. He even squeezed the surgery into his crowded scheduled. Dr. Gauthier's skill as a surgeon isn't his most important attribute, as others possess skill. His manner of providing care to the heart is what is of importance, because even if my puppy died under his care, I would still be grateful for the loving spirit that he showed me and my pet. The surgery was performed in April and here in September my pup is still here, occasionally running around the yard, chasing rabbits that I hope she doesn't catch :)
