Anytime we visit Saint Michael’s this is a must stop for us… we always find the most interesting and well designed pieces, considering we have a very eclectic home style. We have bought furniture and multiple other smaller items- the ducks are a must!
We always enjoy visiting with staff, especially Alex! From order to delivery it’s always so streamlined and we feel appreciated. We will be back, and they have gained a couple of regulars! Thank you-

The customer service here is about as bad as it gets. I ordered two chairs here by phone after a visit to the store. I was never sent or emailed a receipt. I was called and told my chairs my chairs had arrived, when I asked to schedule delivery I was told I had not paid for that service when I had. Fast forward a month, I had not heard from the store, manager was unresponsive on his cell and no one ever answered the store number. Finally, I demanded a refund and was told that no refunds were allowed as it stated on my receipt (I had no receipt) and they jumped to get them delivered the next day to avoid further issue. When the chairs arrived, I accepted delivery and noticed the following day that the backing was already separating due to faulty upholstery. This establishment is an embarrassment for a store that promotes itself as a fine furniture store. Would never shop here again myself and recommend no one reading this does either.

I started to enter a "new business" on Yelp, but when searching for Knotty Living, this American Holiday business popped up with the same address and phone number in St. Michael's so I'll just use this page to review Knotty Living. I happened upon this store while on vacation in St. Michael's in February. It's not tourist season so it was nice to have the store wide open to peruse without a big crowd. I saw a coat for $89 and some bags that were super cute, but out of my price range. The cashier, Randi Anne, said everything was 70% off which floored me! I could get that coat. And that crochet messenger tote bag. And a pair of shorts! All for under $60. I'll admit, the Lime Brown Plaid Button Down Shacket was pilling by the end of the evening, but that's okay. It was $26 so I don't expect it to last forever and be super quality, but it's cute and good for winter months. My regret is not returning to buy more $11 shorts for when sailing season rolls around. This store is also really neat. It was an old bank, complete with bank vault still visible. Cool!

Mediocre and overpriced products. Guy could not wait to get rid of customers at 5:55 PM, as they close at 6:00 PM. Could not run a credit card, and caused it to be blocked. This place operates in the 1800s. Not so great.

We bought beautiful daybed sectionals and they were delivered next day. Great quality material and excellent customer service from Alex and Harold. We love our new furniture! Thank you, AHH!

BUYERS BEWARE As a local who has shopped and supported all of their stores (Knotty, A/H Home, Little Knotty, and the original A/H store) for years, I will never enter into their stores again, nor will my friends and my out of town guests. After a very expensive transaction was handled extremely poorly is was quite clear customer satisfaction means nothing to them nor does customer loyalty. It's all about the sale ... the money... to them. They treat tourists the same way because they likely won't see them in the stores again but to treat a local who spends money and brings many guests to town to shop...BAD DECISION!

My wife and I recently spent a large sum of money in the store on furniture upon moving to the area. My mother in law recently spent about $50 dollars on two small bags as a gift for us. We did not like them so she tried to return them a few days later. She was told that they are holiday items and non refundable, although she had no idea they were holiday items when she purchased them. She explained the situation and the clerk said she might be able to provide a store credit but the owner refused this as well. I think this demonstrates the general attitude of the ownership and it looks like others have had similar experiences. It makes me sick to think about the money that we already spent at this store. We will not be returning and would advise that others avoid this store as well.

I bought 2 vases from this business in April 2021. The coating (some form of gold paper) started to peel off in the fall of 2021. I reached out to Fran at the shop to tell her what was happening. She asked for a picture which I sent plus the receipt where I spent over $200 more at the business . She never got back to me so I called her after 3 days. She said that they could not refund or replace the vases as "they" couldn't determine what we may have washed them with or did to them. I felt that she was bothered by my call back, especially since she didn't have the courtesy to even respond to my text or call me back. Not a pleasant person to deal with and we will never patronize that store again when We visit St. Michael's.

Be aware that there is a seven day (store credit only) return policy. No grace period for Christmas holidays, unlike most other retailers. This is evidently on the receipt, but should be stated upon purchase. Some unique items but largely overpriced. I wouldn't shop there again.

From designing our space to delivering the furniture, Tim was outstanding. His style, suggestions & attention to detail are so evident when you see his final design. His staff is very helpful & very pleasant to work with. From start to finish it was a fun experience!

American Holiday and the two "sister" stores across the street are what dreams are made of! The inside of each store is tastefully curated and items are beautifully displayed. The owner and staff were so helpful in finding and selecting the perfect gift items. Home decor, beautiful books, clothing, art, thoughtful gifts...everything you could want...and more. Prices were reasonable and reflect the quality of these great finds. Lots of organic coastal inspired decor (oyster shells, abalone shells, sea glass, driftwood, etc.) The staff was just putting out gorgeous holiday decor...and I couldn't resist!

Really lovely mix of furniture at fair and reasonable prices. Really enjoy that not everything has a coastal vibe. I also appreciate the lack of snobbery and that you're welcomed to sit on the samples. Gem of a shop!

The management here is extremely childish and doesn't know how to conduct a business transaction in a proper manner. Do not do business with this store.

Bottom Line: Fun and funky decor, clothing and gifts located inside an old bank. What I like about American Holiday is that it is unique and stays on-brand. Upon entering I felt like I had been in the store before . . . and I had, in its old Georgetown location. That must have been quite awhile ago because American Holiday has since relocated to an Old Bank in Saint Michael's. The store has a dark, cozy and expensive boutique feel to it although many of the items seem reasonably priced. I love the quirkiness of the faux-taxidermied stuffed bear heads, ohh, only if I was cool enough to hang one of those whimsical, grizzlies in my house. We looked at some of the games and knick-knacks and I thought seeing the old, albeit not that old, bank vault was cool. The old night deposit is still there too.
