My son is less than 2 months in the school. He has settled very well. The two teachers are patient and knowledgeable which gives me comfort that my son is in good hands. I look forward to having my son well prepared and probably above board for elementary school. Nike

This school helped my originally shy kid to grow and gain confidence. He is starting kindergarten with all the tools needed to succeed, including math and literacy knowledge, an endless curiosity in all topics, and an appreciation of what can be gained with hard work. Of course, he also felt safe and loved during his time at Goddard, which was the most important thing.

We're coming up on an emotional day, because after 5 years at The Goddard School of Rockville, our daughter will be saying goodbye to start Kindergarten. It's difficult to find a place you trust wholeheartedly to keep your baby safe, nurtured and loved when you can't be there. We've made lifelong friends with many of her teachers, and practically all of them could be viable candidates for "teacher of the year". She has learned and developed so well under their curriculum. The program is creative, fun and educational. I am constantly amazed to hear about what she's learned and experienced at such a young age. We're thankful to still have our son enrolled, so it isn't goodbye for good, but it is bittersweet to see our daughter move on from a school she (and we) have loved as parents so much!

Our son started at this school after more than two years at home with a nanny due to the pandemic. He loved the school (and so did the rest of our family), and he was well prepared to start kindergarten afterwards, both academically and socially.

I recently enrolled my three-year-old at Goddard Rockville in the Ponies classroom. I was apprehensive at first about having him in school, as this was his first experience in an educational setting. From my first encounter with the administrative team, to the nurturing and patience my son received from his teachers, we have had the best experience thus far. My son now walks into class each morning and is super eager to go to school. He talks about Ms. Aseel and Ms. Yaya at home, and has made a few core friends. The transition to school is definitely harder for the parents than our kids! ?The communication we receive about his day is awesome-his teachers share activities, notes and pictures/videos of my son everyday which are great talking points for us at home. It really feels like we know exactly what is going on while we are at work. My son also receives enrichment classes in Spanish, Mandarin, music & P.E which are a HUGE added bonus!!For anyone looking for a beneficial educational/social experience for their little one-I highly recommend!

In response to Jennifer Huang:I am shocked by this review and it saddens me to see this comment about my son because it’s a false accusation of his character. “For historical context” my son was often treated unfavorably by O. In fact, you instructed O. to stay away from my son because you didn’t want them to be friends. My family does not condone violence, however we are taught to voice our concerns. In response to the incident that happened in May 2023, O. bumped into my son and because his constant harassment, my son felt the need to defend himself for the first time. This review is a false representation of the fantastic staff and administrators at The Goddard School Rockville. The incidents you mentioned are not accurately described and shifts the blame onto one party. If you felt so poorly about my son I wish you could have requested a meeting with both families and the administrative team to discuss the issues so that we could’ve moved forward in a more positive light. Going to Google to shine a negative light on my child is reckless and irresponsible behavior of an adult. My son misses O. and often talks about how much fun they had together. I would also like to point out that the classroom has been without incident since O. left.We wish you and your family nothing but the best!

As a first time parent, I was extremely nervous dropping my child off at 10 weeks old. Her teachers went out of their way to assure me that my daughter was in good hands. She is now 9 months and I cannot begin to tell you how well Ms. Fatima, Ms. Eyerusalem, and Ms. Angelica take care of my daughter.

This review is based on my personal experience. For historical context, J. (name omitted to protect privacy of the minor) is the grandson of Lynda Walker, Assistant Director. He hit my son on the head with a hard toy in early April. This incident occurred in front of me at pick up and Mr. Rahman, one of the floating classroom teachers. My son cried. Mr. Rahman asked J. to apologize. J. did not want to apologize. An incident report was NOT filed. That evening after bath time I noticed his scalp had abrasions in three areas of impact. On April 26, 2023 my son shared with me that J. was going to throw a rock at him during outside play. A classmate saw this and immediately reported to the teacher, Ms. Farah. A Goddard survey request was sent earlier in the week. I decided to share this feedback because the situation had the potential to escalate into something more serious and I wanted this addressed. On April 27, 2023 I received a call from Courtney Anderson, Director of Marketing. She investigated the rock throwing incident and assured me that this will be addressed and would not happen again. Then came May 31, 2023. My son accidentally bumped into J. in the classroom. J. hit my son in the face and gave him a bloody nose. It was so bad that there was blood all down his shirt and he had to change his shirt. An incident report was filed and the teacher wrote “The student [J.] said he hit [my son] because he did not say sorry.” The incident report was signed by Jennifer Auge, Administrative Director. The Goddard Administration failed my son. They brazenly disregard the safety and welfare of my son. They did not objectively address this incident despite my prior discussion with Courtney Anderson. I am deeply disappointed that Jennifer Auge did not follow up with me after signing the incident report. Each day I walked past the front desk office and not one administrator followed up with me. There is clear favoritism for protecting one of their own. Needles to say, I will not be recommending this Goddard location.

My family has had a fantastic experience with Goddard Rockville’s infant daycare (4 months in). There are many days when I walk into the infant room and my little guy is belly laughing with the teachers. I love Goddard’s use of the Tadpoles app where I get daily pictures and updates about sleep and activities like the babies going for a ride outside in the buggy, playing with bubbles, reading circle etc.I couldn’t imagine better teachers, there are two for the six infants and there’s a shift change midday. They’re all extremely capable and work a lot to help develop motor skills (i.e. encourage tummy time, sitting, crawling). They care so much about the babies and clearly love their job. It’s such a relief to have a safe and loving place to drop our guy off at everyday!Great care is expensive, but it’s worth it for my family. Claim a spot early, we signed up about six months in advance!

Really grateful for the caring teachers that support my daughter; she's in the groundhogs class, and mr eric, ms lex and ms yaya have been great at making her feel seen and heard, and teaching her to step up

My son has been in the infant class at the Goddard School of Rockville for about 6 months and he absolutely loves it. I can't say enough wonderful things about Ms. Fatima and Ms. Eyerusalem -- they are both very loving, patient, and passionate teachers, and my son truly adores them. I highly recommend this center to other families!

My son has been going here since infancy and is now in preschool. The teachers are great and the activities are great. He is very good at his letters and numbers and can even read a few words by now. He also speaks very well for his age. I attribute a lot of it to the quality of the education he is getting at Goddard. While he is not perfectly well-behaved he is generally empathetic which I believe he is also learning there. The teachers genuinely know and like him. When I ask them how he is doing or talk about a particular issue it's always a productive conversation and we get strategies for things we can do at home. The only problem is that the administrative side of things is not always 100% on the ball: you really have to keep on top of it and double-check that your child is registered for things, signed up for the lunch program, etc.

Amazing environment that prepares a child for kindergarten. The teachers are incredibly caring and nurturing, and they make learning fun. My child attended from ages 3-5. I was impressed with the curriculum, which included Spanish and Mandarin lessons as well as basic science such as the parts of plants. Definitely a great investment in my child's education!

I love my child's classroom (Groundhogs), led by Mr. Eric and Ms. Andrea. They are caring educators, who take the time to build trust with the children and foster a safe place for learning. So appreciative of their work and the impact that they have had on my child.

We were new to the area, Ms. Jen, Ms. Aseel and Ms. Wei are super nice and warm-hearted, my son adapted to the new environment right away and he enjoys going to school everyday since day one. Ms. Jen is always enthusiastic and updates us on all the improvements my son has at school when we meet her or call her. Ms. Aseel is very patient, she always stays late and plays with my son until last minute when we pick him up around 6 pm. Ms. Wei comes once a week to teach kids Chinese, my son learned a lot of Chinese songs for kids from Ms. Wei, and he enjoys singing these songs to grandparents in China when he video-chats with them every weekend. Our experience with Goddard School at Rockville is very positive so far, I would recommend it to any parents who are searching for early education options.
