The produce section only looks small. Almost always can get everything I need in one grocery run. Also prices are more than competitive with national brands sometimes being lower cost at MOM's

It's fun shopping at MOMs! There's always fun foods to explore and try. Like I never knew there was coconut condensed milk! There's brands that the regular grocery store doesn't carry that can be found here. Most importantly, they're organic and natural foods/ingredients.

The selection is fantastic. It's just too easy to go over budget when shopping here. Love their local beer selection

Usually, it 's a pleasant experience or simple uneventful shopping at MOM'S. However, today 1.18.24 @ 12:10 PM I experience the most disastrous experience any customer could have I was over charged by a $1.15 for a spice, when I asked the cashier to reweigh it she was surprised, but not apologetic. She was taking the next person as I inquired which was premature. I was asking her to reweigh the item. I reluctantly told her I would wait until she was done but she sent me to another cashier that was free. I gladly accepted because I was running late to work. The new cashier reweighed the spice and told me an over charged amount 1.15. She explained that I had to go to returns to get the difference, at this time I didn't notice that she had put EBT on the receipt. ( I paid in CASH and I'm African American). I had kept my receipt in my hand and simply given her the dry vegetable soup spice to weigh . After, a lengthy conversation with the woman at returns she called the mgr, and the cashier then disoriented went back to check the price of the item. I told her the cashier had previously checked the item's price Eventually she told me that she didn't have cash to return the money I was over charged. It took several minutes and my walking up to the front to find the mgr for her to show up aadditional discussion with her and my retrieving my purchase from the return station for her to tell another cashier whom was doubly confused to refund all my money. This cashier kept giving me refund for just spice as the mgr and I both watched. I was in total disbelief that nobody was apologetic about over charging a customer except the person in returns. The mgr was most rude of all. At the end of this fiasco she sarcastically said now everyone has what they want. I told her she was wrong. All I wanted was the items I purchased before being treated rudely, discard and OVER charged. I won't be returning. I suspect over charging is a common occurrence. This may go double for someone who's using an EBT card and maybe a person of Color. The original cashier was also a person of Color and so was the cashier who wrote EBT on the receipt without seeing my original receipt. Notwithstanding, had no bearing whatsoever on my disastrous experience with stereotyping and the internalized racism. This promotes supposedly liberal places like MOMS to hire immigrants over seasoned African Americans and Some people of Color . We know and understand the quiet benign hand of racism deal by liberalism . Be that as it may nobody deserves either poor customer service and to be over charged when purchasing an item at the store.

“There is not such thing as away” when you throw something away it most go somewhere, Annie Leonard.1. Cute size of an easy grocery shopping experience.2. Plus: great beer selection inside the store!! (This is not a given is MD grocery stores)My experience with staff has always been kind, the lunch bar and the zero waste and reusable containers options are some of the things that make this mom so special.

As a former organic farmer who sold to organic markets throughout New York and New Jersey, I found MOM's takes the gold medal for quality, selection, excellent and knowledgeable staff, and fair prices. A staff member originally from Scotland named Carole was as courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasant person you could ask for. Great job Carol!
