“This post office has AMAZING extended hours and has quick and easy service! Be sure to check what services they cover though because it does NOT cover everything! However, I had to overnight ship a letter after I got out of work late and they were able to take care of it with no problem - about $30 to overnight to Denver. The UPS about a mile away was charging $100. USPS for the win!”

“The Longworth House Office Building Post Office is quite simply the best US Post Office I have encountered anywhere. The lines move quickly, the staff is friendly and they always have an abundance of stamps and mailing supplies. Mail is dispatched in the morning and after 4:00 p,m, in the afternoon. Staff will provide a special manual cancellation if you ask for it. The post office is located in the basement of the Longworth Building, but is open to the public. You will have to go through security upon entering the Capitol complex. It is easily reached by tunnel from the Cannon and Rayburn buildings.”

This made me feel a lot better after a terrible experience at USPS on Buchanan street.Not only was I satisfied with my experience, but I saw about 10 other people in the same situation, and every single one of them seemed like they were having a great time. If you happen to visit on no-Paul day.::Good luck.I’ve never encountered a more poorly run and serviced post office than this location on King Street. They NEVER have enough people staffed on weekends. My God, you are the sole post office in a very dense populated area and management can’t simply staff at least TWO attendants on weekends? It’s unfathomable and completely ridiculous. The lines are constantly wrapped around and out of the door. Please do better USPS.”

This was no small feat, I am sure, since I visited near closing time on a Friday.I brought in a package to ship with duct tape on it, which she informed me was not allowed. I would have just left and come back another day, but she said someone else had left a roll of tape behind and I could use that. This is obviously not something that is always available, but I feel thankful that someone left tape behind and that she thought to offer it to me!”
