“Due to various change in plans, I rushed myself over to this location to get my drug screening done for my new career on the same day I received my paperwork. I was told this location closes at 3:30 PM. I arrived at 3:14 PM without an appointment, and the system was informing me that I cannot be seen without an appointment as there is no more room for walk-ins. Tasha Smith however, came out to greet me and helped see through all my needs even though there should have been no time for me. She gave me very fast, quick, and efficient instructions on what I needed to do. I was in-and-out within 5 minutes and Tasha Smith was extremely professional and efficient. I highly recommend this place to get your work done due to the effects of Ms. Smith.”

“Quick and easy. Stopped by an hour or so ago. Very good customer service and overall service. The lab was very clean and organized. I liked that you didn't need to book an appointment for drug testing. I do want to note that they stop drug testing at 4:30pm.”

“Phew. I am so thankful for the staff at Labcorp for their exceptional service. I am horrible with bloodwork. I hate needles, blood, etc. I notified the staff I was quite nervous and the phlebotomist that took my blood was very kind and patient with me. The front desk staff tell me again was so helpful, timely and kind during my check in process. I registered online and submitted on my information prior to my appointment which made everything very smooth and easy. The check in process was smooth as well. I had 14!! vials of blood drawn and ended up passing out (pretty bad) and both staff members rushed right in to help me. They made me feel so safe and comfortable and waited for me to come back to, and never made me feel like I needed to rush out of the office. I am so thankful for their kindness. It is so embarrassing to pass out and I’m so grateful for them!! Thank you both!!”

“My go-to lab for blood work. Outstanding staff and hardly any wait time for walk-ins. If you get there when they open, they will usually take care of you within 15 minutes. And the phlebotomists are amazing. They never have any problem finding my difficult veins and their work is quick and painless. And my results are always available to me in less than 24 hours. Highly recommended!”

“I have been going to this practice for 18 years, originally for travel shots and now for primary care. Wonderful people, easy to get an appointment, thoughtful and prompt follow up on labs and the like. It feels like concierge medicine without the annual fee. Cannot recommend highly enough.”

“Tasha drew my 88 year old mom's blood expertly and efficiently with gentleness and kindness. The check in process was quick and we waited less than 5 minutes without an appointment. The facility was clean and had plenty of chairs to wait though no one needed to wait long. My only complaint is the curb outside the office did not have a curb cut or ramp for wheelchairs and no handicapped parking in front of the office.”

“To be honest, looking at the reviews I had no idea what I was walking into. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I was a walk-in on a Thurs. morning, I may have waited 10 mins. if that, but I was in & out. I would recommend this location based on my experience.”

“Years ago NRL Labstracts published a humorous "Engineering Procedure" to properly express 1 + 1 = 2 in more advanced mathematics. I have a fading printout of that set of equations. Would like to get a fresh copy that I can download as a pdf. How can I access NRL to get an e-copy? Thank-you, M. E. Ellis PhD biomed-scientist retired”

“I came in because of a strange reaction to a bee sting. Dr. Brody was so kind. He really listened to the details of my experience, and then explained the science of what had happened to me, at just the right level for my curious but not expert brain. He said that I was not at risk of a life threatening reaction next time I might be stung, and I really appreciated his measured explanation of why blood or skin tests might not be that helpful or conclusive. He would have made more money by testing me and then setting me up for allergy shots I might not have actually needed. I trust him now, and will recommend him to anyone wanting an unbiased medical opinion!”

“Great experience overall! The wait time was about an hour, but that's expected from an urgent care facility. The XRay tech, Cathy, was great! She took the time to explain everything to me and we had a great conversation as an added bonus. Took my mind off of the reason for my visit.”

“I had previously used Quest exclusively for my lab work while living in Florida the past 6 years. My new physician advised of a Lab Corps facility next door to their office where I could have my lab work done. I asked if it was OK to use the Quest facility near my home, which it was. Yesterday I had lab work performed at the location on Fairfax Drive in Ballston. The technician, Michelle, was very professional and personable. Excellent customer service!”

“I had a fast and pleasant experience here. I’d check in on my phone right before entering the building and maybe waited a few minutes to be seen. There is one tech that I saw all 6 times I came, she was caring and efficient. It’s nice to have a lab in mind that I can trust.”

“This location is my go to spot for lab work not available at my doctors’ office. The personnel I have encountered are always respectful, engaged with their customers, willing to help those less computer savvy, and keep things moving & on time. I personally have witnessed staff de-escalate less than polite customers. As stated by others, this location is quite outdated as far as appearance but it is always clean. Except for some chairs — I personally hate sitting on upholstered chairs anywhere for fear of bugs (i.e., bed bugs) or liquid waste being transferred. Not sure why any public seating is upholstered!!Kudos to the staff. Quest, spend a $$$ to update the patient area. It’s been a while.”

“The employee at the front desk is nice, thorough and does her job very well. Even though she does the work of more than 1 person she gets it done. It would be helpful if management sent her more people to help her. She does everything I THANK her !!!!!”

“Went to get blood drawn. I’m told I have difficult veins and it’s usually an ordeal. But not today! The tech did it painlessly and it was over within a couple minutes. Amazing. Highly recommend.”

“I have had low irons levels for awhile and sometime it is very difficult to get a good vein. So much so that I have to ask for an experienced tech bc some techs have had the hardest time and I end up light headed to almost a faint. I did tell them up front this time and the young lady didnt get offended she got an older guy, and boom! first attempt no issue. Even told a army story bc he saw my tatts n had a story abt his leadership and tatts lol All this to say, I was in/out customer service was fantastic. If I need to go again soon to check my levels (which Im sure I will) I will see them again!”

“Simply excellent, I was in & out in under 15 minutes! I made an appointment online about an hour before, super easy. Staff was so warm + kind & the phlebologist who took my blood should teach classes: she got me in one painless stick & I blinked & three vials were filled. 10/10 I’ll come back here for all my blood related needs”

“After experiencing terrible services at the Clinton location yesterday. It was so refreshing to receive excellent outstanding and professional services at the Brandywine location, which is located on the lower level of the Medstar Health building. I made the appointment at 11 am for 12:45 pm, arrived at 12:30, received a text to come in, and was done and back in my car by 12:47 pm. The waiting room was clean and comfortable, with many empty seating. The lab was a very clean and sterile environment, I will be coming back here for all my blood work! The best part was she got two tubes, at the first attempt, and it didn't hurt. My new spot.”

“I was skeptical going into my appt because of the bad reviews, but the staff was kind and helpful, and once I got back to get my lab work done i was in and out very quickly. The only issue I had was that I was seen around 20 minutes after my appt time, but this is typical for most western medicine medical offices.”

“i'm 33 years old and this is my third time experiencing congestive heart failure. it's a scary thing and it starts with my overactive thyroid disease, then spreads to affect my heart, lungs and liver. over the last 5 years i've spent 22 days in the hospital for it. and here at the inova alexandria location was by far the most comforting. the nurses (Lilly in ER, Danh, Vincent, Frankie, Trae, and Jen in the stroke unit, Miguel the clinical Tech, Godson and Aubrey in the ICU and the wonderful Dr Farah Abdulaaima) have really gone above and beyond in every aspect of my care. their supervisors should be really proud. i'm sure everyone here is just as kind and hard working. i'm so thankful and appreciative that each of them is so dedicated. i can only imagine the amount of lives they've changed for the better!”

“Making an appointment online was super easy. I went in and was greeted right away, signed in, and was called within 5 mins. The young lady took me to the back and proceeded with the procedure of drawing my blood (I have small veins, so Im a little difficult). She found my vein on the first try, and I was in and out! The room isn't huge, so I would think they would have to have very experienced phlebotomist to get you in and out due to the amount of space. I would recommend this place to anyone. My experience was great!”
