Max and Cruz provided some of the best service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. They constantly asked if everything was okay or even just made small talk to make sure I was having a good time. The food was amazing but came second to the service these both bartenders provided. Don’t even get me started on their wonderful aprons they both had on.

We love this place. I made reservations to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were always greeted with a smile and provided friendly service. Our waitress Faith was outstanding. She was welcoming, warm, and friendly. She was attentive and knowledgeable. Just a great all around person and a credit to Salt & Vine. When we come again, we will request Faith. From reception desk, to the bar, to our table, service was top notch. We will recommend this restaurant to everyone we know.

I have eaten at Salt & Vine a handful of times and am super happy that we have it here in Olney- it has become outstanding. The food is consistently excellent and the service is fantastic. (The first time I ever ate there it was brand new and - as so often with new spots - the service was shaky. Every time since it has been notably great… so please try it again if you were underwhelmed in those first weeks!) As I said- it’s an outstanding dining experience!FOOD: Last night we shared the burrata appetizer, then had the shrimp, the beet salad, and the carpaccio as our 3 dinners. Everything we ate wasn’t just great but was the kind of amazing that you can’t stop talking about it, and the presentations were gorgeous. The carpaccio absolutely melted in my mouth. We shared 3 scoops of gelato for dessert - it was creamy & delicious. The menu itself has a good variety and some rare and special touches (like carpaccio). 5 stars.SERVICE: I waitressed all through my 20s and one of my sons is a waiter (elsewhere) so I like to think that I can recognize and appreciate service that goes above and beyond. You are greeted with a smile when you walk in the door and taken immediately to your table; the hostess last night was very professional. Our server was Idris- he was warm and friendly and accommodating. He did a light suggestive sell on a cocktail but was in no way pushy. He answered questions, gave opinions, and was happy to make adjustments (eg I asked for no capers). The food was exactly as ordered and served promptly. He checked in with us several times but never rushed us. Great job. We also were visited by a manager checking in- a touch I always like. 5 stars. The atmosphere is a bit crowded - though not like Bethesda-crowded. We were nowhere near elbow to elbow with other diners. I did have to keep scooting my chair forward for people to get behind me. I believe they are limited in what they can do inside because it’s an historic building. I look forward to the patios reopening when it’s warm enough! 4.5 stars.BOTTOM LINE: Amazing food, attentive service, a beautiful building- all right here in Olney. A+

Annie was an awesome waitress! Great personality and very attentive! The short rib pasta was outstanding! The pizza was not as great as the old Riciutti’s restaurant pizza, but still pretty good.

Waiter Mackenzie was amazing. Seemed like she loves her job and serving customers. Atmosphere was a bit cramped - though overall good. If I could give 4.5 stars in that I would. Food is fantastic. They could charge more (though I hope they don’t!) A go-to upscale place in Olney.

Our homemade pasta meals were superb (mushroom tagliatelle oohlala!) & our server DJ was sensitive & attentive. I also liked the matte gray stoneware dinnerware & presentations were lovely on it. However, the noise level 6:00 -7:00 pm Sunday evening despite a pleasant amount of space set between tables was unfortunately almost deafening so it was hard to hold a conversation with my husband (even with his hearing aids set to filter out background noise) without raising our voices considerably. I'm not sure why that was, perhaps the low ceilings & energetically vocal toddlers & families, perhaps because we were in the corner on the first level? We'd love to return to try other items on the menu but will try another time during weekdays perhaps between 3-5 or upstairs or outdoors in nice weather.
