It is a really nice hotel and going to magfest each year makes it super convenient! The downside is that for the lrice you pay nightly for rooms, you are nickel and dimed for everything. Parking is overpriced like everywhere in the DC metro area, but tolerable when they occasionally run a special.Prices in the hotel stores and restaurants are also too expensive, especially when there is better food a short walk away from the hotel.Noteworthy details: Great location and vibe, but you have to pay extra for so many amenities that are included at other hotels.

National Harbor is an absolute tourist trap but if you have to be in the harbor for an event, it’s nice that the actual hotel is a good hotel.Nearby activities: There is nothing nearby, this is not convenient to public transport.Walkability: Absolutely not.Food & drinks: There is variety to the food. But it is limited, and they were not able to make substitutions for dietary restrictions.

Frustratingly, they lock the HDMi ports from being used by anything except their crappy cable program or self-glorifying ads. I was here for a family member's sporting event and when not watching them play, I wanted to use my Nintendo Switch on the TV, but had loads of issues getting it to work. After literally removing the TV from the mount to mess with the plugs in the back enough to get it to show my switch on screen, I could not use the remote to adjust the picture settings and the input delay on the TV was terrible. The refrigerator did not work either. The air conditioning was nowhere near cold enough and I was sweating the entire trip. The stair system is confusing and does not lead into the lower floors, so when the elevators were packed there was no alternative. The wifi is very slow unless you pay $8 a night. You'd think for over $350 a night they'd have some better amenities. The staff was kind and helpful. Whoever at management decided guests should not be able to plug their own devices in should, well, make a different decision. When you only offer Netflix or cable, the entertainment available from within the room is really limited. I wish I had stayed at the residence inn less than a 30 second walk across the street.

Very nice hotel as a whole, however the rooms are not much different than a Holiday Inn, just furnished better. The pool was OK in terms of condition and cleanliness. The food court/cafeteria area was pricy but very nice and enjoyable.
