We have been going to Millersville Animal Hospital for a few years now and have always had an amazing experience. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and their pricing is reasonable. Can't imagine taking our fur babies anywhere else!

I’ve been bringing my pets here since 2007. In that time, they have treated four of my cats (two with us now) and three dogs (one with us now) and they have been great. I’ve always appreciated when the vets called personally to give updates, etc. The staff is great but after a surgery or after blood work, it is great hearing directly from a doctor. I highly recommend.

We highly recommend Millserville Animal Hospital and a huge shout out to Dr. Rommel!!! Out of nowhere our cat started acting off and sick, and after a few months of trying to figure out what to do, our last vet told us we needed to remove all of his teeth. We were shocked but eventually realized it was for the better. We got quotes for up to $5,000 from specialists in the area, but were so lucky to decide to come here instead. They genuinely cared about our cat, were super friendly and gentle, and did a great job at a *fraction* of the price. Our cat is back to his old self and maybe we've even unlocked a new, much more wild side of him! I'm so grateful for how it all turned out and would highly recommend this vet!!

The reason I’m giving 3 stars is only for Dr. Sierra Rubin, she is absolutely wonderful with my dogs. She takes her time, gets all the information she needs to make a proper diagnosis and plan to get your fur babies feeling better! The only reason I’m not giving a 5 star is because of Dr. Mary B Dearing. I had made my girl an appointment not knowing it was not with Dr.Rubin. So we went and we had Dr.Dearing, she was extremely judgmental of my dog from the second she had walked in the room because of her breed. My dog is a very lovable, gentle, happy girl and she was treated like she was vicious and untrustworthy. My dog was wagging her tail, giving kisses, being so sweet and Dr.Dearing put a muzzle on her and said, and I quote “it would be different if she was a small dog, you know, because they can’t do anything” she even went as far as telling me to take her to a behavioral specialist because “you never know what she will do”. There were many things said and done and my dog did not deserve to be treated in such a way. Now my thoughts are, if you are in the veterinary field, there is no excuse to have acted the way you did towards my dog. She did nothing but be good and sit down letting the Dr. do her exam. I never thought I or my dog would experience this from a vet. I will never take any of my animals to Dr.Dearing ever again for them to be mistreated. I made sure to take my girl to PetSmart to pick out a new toy and bone for being the goodest girl that she is. The Doctor knew my dogs breed and if she had felt uncomfortable she should not have taken the appointment, we could have easily seen someone different. Please for future reference to anyone and everyone who may see this, PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE A DOG on their breed!

I only took my cat here a few times before having to make the hard decision. The doctors and staff were wonderful the whole way through, both professional and caring. Victoria bonded with Daisy immediately and it meant so much to have her there at the end with us. I will definitely be back with new furry friends when the time is right.

Switching vets ASAP! Making an animal suffer to teach its owner a lesson is not just NOT cool, it's CRUEL!!!!
I have taken all three of my dogs to Millersville AH for over two years. Today, I called and asked if there were any cancellations such that I could bring my 11 year old cattle dog Scout up to be seen. Scout had a scheduled appointment Friday, but I asked if he could be seen today, Monday, bc over the weekend, starting Sunday, he had stopped eating and seemed listless. Today, he ate a little of his wet food, but would not eat the dry kibble. I surmised perhaps he has tooth pain, but regardless I called Millersville, our family vet, and asked if they could work Scout in today.
They said there was a cancellation and gave me an appointment for 3:00 pm. En route from Annapolis to Millersville to the appointment, I was caught in a traffic snarl. I arrived at MAH with Scout at exactly 3:10 pm, and was very apologetic (since I know they have a policy of not seeing patients if they are more than 10 minutes late).
The receptionist said he would check with the doctor to see if the doctor would still see Scout. He went to the back and returned a minute later and said the doctor would not see Scout.
Mind you, since my appt was originally at 3:00, and it was only 3:10 when I arrived, I would assume there must be at least a remaining 20 minutes for even the shortest 30 minute appointment slot!
I was distressed and asked the receptionist if he could please explain to the doctor that this was not just a check-up, and that Scout is not eating, listless, and potentially in pain. I said I would happily pay whatever, if someone could just look at Scout's teeth.
If there were signs of an abscessed tooth or something, at the very least I would have been able to get some pain medication for Scout while scheduling a tooth extraction later.
I said I was happy to wait with Scout as well - there was no one else in the waiting room.
The receptionist agreed to ask the doctor again, and he returned a moment later to tell me that the doctor said no.
I was stunned.
With my three dogs, one of whom required surgery last year, I probably spend about $1500-$4000 at MAH every year. I was not a walk-in, but rather a regular longtime customer/pet owner in distress, with a dog that is clearly not well. I was 10 minutes late.
I have on more than one occasion waited in MAH 15-20 minutes or more for a scheduled appointment when a doctor was running behind. No big deal. I never complain. I understand these things happen, and the most important thing to me is that ALL pets - not just mine - are afforded the care that they need and deserve.
I set to work switching vets as soon as I left MAH.
I know they have many good reviews here, and it takes A LOT for me to write a bad review, but I do not want any other pet or his person to experience what Scout and I did today.
UPDATE: I am updating to inform that our beloved Scout died the day after being turned away by MAH. Another veterinarian practice who took my call and agreed to see Scout ASAP advised that while she could not see him that day, she was concerned that a dog of his age was not eating and she recommended I take him to the animal ER, which I did. Scout was suffering from internal bleeding, and an ultrasound revealed inoperable tumors. I am attaching screenshots of my review of the Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Center, which provided Scout and our family the kindest most compassionate care on this devastating day, photos of my sons saying goodbye to our sweet boy, and smiling Scout as I will always remember him.
I am still reeling from the inhumanity of MAH in turning Scout away from his appointment because his person (me) was 10 minutes late, and not even having the baseline level of medical ethics that they

We have sent our dogs, cat, and even rat to this vet. Everyone we encounter, from the front desk to the veterinarians, are kind hearted, informative, and helpful. We’ve had to put down a dog here as well, and they were very kind throughout the whole process. They are also very accommodating when it comes to urgent care appointments. Finally, I never feel like I am being upsold on a vaccine or procedure I do not need, and their prices are very reasonable. Love love love this office! I recommend it to everyone I know with pets, even if they already have a vet they like.

The staff is incredibly helpful, caring and most of all, knowledgeable. I’ll never forget how empathic and patient they were with me as I made the tough decision to help one of my furbabies cross the rainbow bridge. I can’t say enough about how great this practice is. Oh, and Dr. Rommel rocks!!

I’ve had dogs pretty much all my life and Dr Rommel is actually one of the most caring doctor I’ve ever met. If you meet him, you would know immediately that he’s in the best interest of the dog. My dog had an ear infection and he really took his time to see what was bothering her and explained throughly what I can do to prevent that from possibly happening again. I take all 3 of my dogs here and I can honestly say that my fur babies are in good hands. Also the front & tech staff are very sweet & knowledgeable too. :)
