Premier Group Services is outstanding. They are working on a project that requires significant research and digging. The team and the processes are efficient. The team is very thoughtful and the processes including the technology make it so simple to work with them. Joye Sistrunk is a brilliant CPA and has developed an amazing team that is a joy to work with!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have spent almost $15,000 (in total to my new accountant and bookkeeper) in rectifying mistakes made by the bookkeepers at this firm in 2020 and 2021. Pandemic funds and other items were listed in the wrong area, adversely affecting my books and taxes in 2022 and now in 2023, where my new accountant is working with the new bookkeeper (5 months after taxes were to be filed) to correct the egregious mistakes made by this firm in 2020 and 2021. A lot of young people are employed by this firm to be bookkeepers, but it seems the supervision by experienced CPA staff is lacking. This firm was recommended to me; not sure what the basis of the recommendation was. Maybe they received service when the firm was smaller and the owner managed her accounts. I left this firm at the end of 2021, and voiced my displeasure once their mistakes were first identified. Their incompetency continues to be a costly, living nightmare for me!

I would give zero stars if I could. First, it took almost a month for my taxes to be completed. They were incorrect in many ways to the point we had to make an adjustment in the office the day I was supposed to sign them. This should have been my first clue of incompetence. Then I receive a bill in June from the MD Comptroller's office stating that I owe more than what was filed on my taxes. When I bring this to Joye and her teams attention. I don't hear from them for weeks. She goes on vacation for three weeks with no follow up response from the Comptroller's office. Now I am past my deadline for payment and will have to pay additional late fees. AVOID this business at all cost. They do not know what they are doing. In addition, effective, and timely communication with sensitive matters are not a priority.

Beyond preparing my taxes they have been vested in ensuring my financial success by making suggestions each year on how to save money based upon their comprehensive review of my tax documents. When considering becoming a business owner myself, Premier Group offered insight on finance practices for my business and helped me expand my professional network by inviting me to workshops. I cannot say enough about how Premier Group has taken tax preparation to another level by adding personalization to myself and my small business.
