“Edit: credit where due, they went out of their way to reach out and try to figure out a return option after this happened. It is much appreciated!It’s a typical Ace. Half the people who work here act so bothered that you’re interrupting them at the cash register to check out. Been bugged a few times but writing a bad review because they wouldn’t let me return a $75 product because the cardboard box it came it was partially ripped on the top flap (“unsellable”).”

“My favorite thing about this place is they are kind to hardware dummies. No condescending tone no matter how clueless the customer. Plus someone always on deck to help you find something as soon as you walk in. Shelves always fully stocked -- and don't be fooled by the seemingly small size of the storefront. Plenty more supplies in back, next door in the paint store and upstairs in housewares.”
“The level of customer service here is excellent. I have a retrofitted grooming van with all kinds of custom hoses and fittings. One of them broke and I had a major leak. I explained my problem to Mike and he was able to retrofit a toilet supply line, a hose barb, and clamps to create what I needed. He cut and fitted everything on the spot. I will be coming here for all my hardware needs in the future.”
“This is a small neighborhood hardware store but they keep an impressive array of hardware, tools, paint, garden, and "lifestyle" items for most DIY projects. Where the big box stores are geared to accommodate contractors, Annie's aims for the individual and their residence. Staff is always friendly, the store is well staffed for their size so there's always someone available for questions or assistance. I really appreciate a hardware store that can still operate in the neighborhood without leveling 15 acres. Factoring in my time and general frustration with large box stores, the prices for a quick trip down the street are competitive with other options.”

“I went to this Home Depot yesterday to find a metal, NOT plastic, flat dustpan. After finding the dustpan, I noticed they had a ton of these Fill Stick Wood Repair Paint Pens, all kinds. While realizing all the choices I had, I must have looked undecided and confused ( which I was), a kind perceptive employee noticed that I looked lost( which I was also). I had chosen the two Filler Pens I needed, but was trying to return a third un- needed pen to it's proper shelf. I couldn't find where I had found it. I imagine the employees watch customers trying to replace their unwanted items in their proper location all the time! Anyway, this young man, Carlton, came to help me as a courteous gesture, and I am grateful for this conscientious Home Depot employee. He said don't worry, I will find the spot where it belongs. Thank you, CARLTON!!!

“A fantastic place honestly, called to talk to them about fixing my dryer, though they didn’t have what I needed I thought I would have to buy a whole new dryer but speaking with the owner I was able to find out what part I needed (which was just the belt) and only needed to spend 8 dollars vs HUNDREDS for a new one. I love this store because even tho they may not have what you’re looking for they always put their customers and their customers pockets in mind”

Don't let the name confuse you - they don't just sell door closers (and dam, they have a lot of them) - they carry many security products and low voltage as well as locks.Mike, the sales rep was awesome and was willing to wait for me couple of minutes after closing as I needed an item (that non of the other suppliers in the DMV had in stock locally) to finish a job.Another big plus is that buying from them you support a local business.Thank you guys”
“I used to buy from them when they were located on Midcity Ave. 40 +/_ years ago. I was very pleased when I called the other day to enquire about a screw to use for attaching treated lumber to steel exterior deck framing. The person who answered was incredibly well versed on that particular very unusual application. Extremely helpful!”
“WOW!!!! What GREAT service from one of my favorite stores. I've been shopping at this location for years and service was always great. In short, I purchased a Chiminea several months ago, but never had the time to unpack and use.Fast forward, when I finally had the time to open the box. I noticed that there was a huge crack on the outside which made it to be unusable. I called the store and an associate by the name of Jackie, took action that was unbelievable.She wasted ZERO time in getting me a replacement from their Baltimore store. Based on the way Jackie helped from start to finish.....I strongly advise every one to make sure when you purchase an item, use their system with your phone number.The best part of my experience was that she said to give a some time and she would get back to me. It took a few days for her to do the research, but sure enough, she found my info. on when the item was purchased etc. (using the cell number at the register when checking out).Got a phone call several days telling me that I could pick up my replacement.GO GO JACKIE!!!! Thank you so much for your "OUTSTANDING: service and care.By the way, for all that's reading this review...I'm a business owner in Silver Spring Maryland (Ocean City Seafood).
