Absolutely LOVE this daycare. My son loves going there and ALL the teachers/management treat him like he is their own child. Couldn’t be any happier with our decision to come here

Our 2 year old daughter was enrolled at Kids Villa for almost a year- far far too long. She started off in the busy bee class and then transitioned to the curious cats -- that is when the issues started. I would not recommend the school for so many reasons, but I will provide three of the most concerning. 1- teachers do not console children when they are upset- only threats. The teacher said to my daughter when she cried, "do you want to go to the baby room?)2- The cameras allow parents to watch their children during the day. One day I saw a child hit my daughter and she began to cry. No comfort was provided as she cried. The teacher was distracted and missed the incident. 3- on three occasions my daughter came home with a poop diaper. When I asked the director about it each time the explanation provided was that "she must have just went."At home I started to notice my daughter showing signs of trauma. She would cry at drop-off not wanting to go into the school. At home with her toy and dolls she started repeating what was said to her by her teacher, " putting herself in timeout and saying "stop crying or I'll put you in the baby room." I do not recommend the school. Once we switched our daughter to Goddard, she is back to her normal happy self.

I really wanted to like this place, but after my daughter's second day I'm struggling to understand where these good reviews are coming from. My daughter is in the 2s classroom, busy bees, to be exact. I don't even know where to start so I'll just list things that I've seen by level of severity. (No big deal to worst) They do provide cameras but only in the classrooms and for that reason I have it on the entire time my daughter is there on my iPad. Call me crazy mom, I don't care, but without doing this I would've never known what was going on there. Day 1:- her teachers logged that oranges and chips were served for PM snack. I watch the cameras all day and no oranges were ever served. My daughter got a hand full of chips with her pediasure (which I asked to be served with her PM snack). They didn't serve her anything but her pediasure for the first half of snack time. - teachers sit on their personal phones during nap time regardless if kids are asleep or not. No assistance to help kids fall asleep. - it was roughly 85 degrees outside. They were outside with no water. All the waters were left on the table in the class room. I picked up my daughter and she was red and flushed. She was so thirsty she downed 9oz of water in her sippy bottle in the car. Day 2:- my daughter cried and was upset at drop off. She was handed over to the teacher who then sat her down and gave her a pop tart and walked away. Leaving her to cry it out. Never came back to console her.- they're supposedly scheduled outside time for an hr before lunch and an hr after PM snack. They were outside both times for about 2 hrs. Again no waters outside in the heat. -hardly any circle time. They read 1-2 books, sang a song, teach pointed at some poster and they were outside. I thought this was an MD accredited daycare? - nap time - teachers on phones again.- PM snack time they falsely logged what was served again stating they gave chips and salsa and no salsa was given. - I picked up my daughter and talked to the director about my concern about them being outside all day and what foods were being logged. My daughter was brought out with soaking wet shorts. They had a change of clothes for her in her bag (which they won't leave there) and never changed her. Shorts so wet it wet her diaper. After all this happened I couldn't take it anymore and called to have my money refunded and to only keep my daughter there for another week as I needed to work and had no other options. The director was willing to refund me and asked about my concerns and told me they would be addressed. Days 3 and 4 there was new staff in the room and I started to see significant change. On their Ps and Qs, Ts crossed Is dotted. Even debated on giving them another chance and wondered if I had jumped the gun. Day 5 I picked up my daughter everything seemed to have gone smoothly until we got home and I went to bathe her. She had such a bad diaper rash that she was tender to the touch. It was on her vaginal area and has spread down to her butt area. She has NEVER had a diaper rash that big and lasted 3 days. She's been off daycare for 2 days and is still tender to the touch regardless of how much aquaphor and diaper cream I have used. Needless to say I'm glad tomorrow is her last day and plan on leaving her there only for as long as I need and best believe my husband and I will be watching like a hawk. I can't speak for the other staff and class rooms, but I do not recommend being in the busy bees 2s classrooms. This is her second daycare and I found it to be a very unpersonable experience despite how nice everyone is to your face. I never thought I would come across a daycare where fundamental things like giving kids water would be an issue.

I have had 2 of my Children attend Kid's Villa over the last few years. The Former Director Ms. Barb is wonderful! Her sense of caring, understanding & being reasonable, makes me feel a sense of comfort knowing that my children have been under a great Daycare/Pre-School Facility. When you look at the low turnover for the Teacher's at the School, I think it speaks volumes of the way the leadership has made a very positive environment wanting Teacher's to stay. Even both of my children have loved going to Kid's Villa. I have seen a lot of growth in Social building with their peers, reading, writing, math & finding the joy of being in school and wanting to learn.I would highly recommend this Daycare/Pre-School for anyone who wishes to have a peace of mind knowing their Children are well taken care of

We LOVE Kids Villa! My 3.5 year old boy is so happy at school. He loves his 3 teachers and classmates. The school does so many wonderful enriching activities for the kids and involves the parents wherever possible. My sons development has skyrocketed since being at Kids Villa. My son attended Kid's Villa for around 3 years. This is one of those "hidden gems." The levels are well defined, the teachers are attentive and knowledgeable, the place is clean and orderly, and most of all, they teach. My son still talks about his friends he made there and the teachers. The school meets State of Maryland educational requirements. Please check out their website for more details.Class sizes are about 15 or so, but every child that I've seen there is attended to. My son loved the lunches to the point that he would eat Ms. Dorthey's mac and cheese and no other. They allow birthday parties as long as all students in the class are included. They also have parties for special events.Rates are reasonable and educational experience is superb. Highly recommended.

We love Kids Villa! This is our first time using a Child Care Center and we have had a great experience. Our daughter has grown so much and is learning something new to share with us everyday. She had made so many new friends and we love getting to know the other families at the school. They have fun activities for the kids, and at every event we attend all of her teachers, even past teachers, go out of their way to say hi to her and give her a big hug! The staff genuinely cares about each child and have their best interest at heart. Our daughter makes it a point to run to Barb, the director, and give her a hug at the end of each day. To know the director, staff and teachers all know our daughter by name makes us feel very special and assures us that we chose the right school for her!

My children love Kids Villa and are eager to go each day! The teachers are warm and friendly. They follow a curriculum in each of the classrooms and I love the structure of their program. The activities are very age appropriate and the children learn social skills as well. They have music, science, & Spanish embedded into their curriculum, and offer extra curricular activities. I would highly recommend!

My Kids (2 yo & 4 yo) started Kids Villa in the end of August and love it there. The teachers are wonderful, kind and caring. This is the first time they have been in a Child Care Center setting and Kids Villa made the transition very easy for them and me. I love that you can see check in on the the kids during the day on camera in the classrooms. I highly recommend this center.

Both of my kids went there and they absolutely loved ❤️ it. My daughter moved to the Y at her school because all her friends are there and it is at her school but she was torn when we initially took her out. My son is going on his second year now. He is so happy to go to day care. The staff is very nurturing and attentive to my son’s needs and he is thriving . He is also learning a great deal there including sign language and Spanish. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a daycare for their child.

My children have flourished at Kids Villa. They have gone since infancy. Each classroom incorporates appropriate activities for the age and stage of the child. Extracurricular activities such as Spanish and music are incorporated into the weekly activities. There is sufficient time for learning and play each day. When my oldest started kindergarten, she was more than prepared for public school. The teachers show a genuine concern for the care of the children. The center also provides family activities throughout the year like a Holiday show, picnics, Trunk-or-treat, and St. Jude Bike-a-thon. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided daily. For extra peace of mind, there are cameras equipped in each classroom that can live stream what is going on. I would highly recommend this childcare center.

Kids are not safe at this daycare. My kids were there for about a year in 2018. Ms Mona as the lead teacher in the pre-k classroom was very aggressive to the children. I tried to talk to the director and owner and they dismissed my concerns. So I left. Other teachers in the pre-k classroom tried to explain their concerns to the director and owner, then their hours were cut. After contacting the MD licensing agency, I learned 5 other families in my child’s classroom had the same experience. One family told me their kid fell on their head and she did nothing while he sat there and cried. No report was issued. The mother says this on the camera while at work and the director said she did not see anything on the camera. The director and owner held no accountability. We left in September 2018 and within a few days, my kids were so happy. The Best thing I did for my kids was to leave.

From infancy to Before and After School care, I couldn't imagine having my kids go anywhere else. They love it and they love their teachers.
