If I could give this zero stars, I would. The worst business model and practice I’ve ever encountered. Do NOT rent a car from here. Save yourself the hassle. It’s not worth the cheap prices. Rented a car with a 9am reservation only to be told it would be 4 hours until they have any available vehicles. Customers who already have their rental vehicles have the ability to extend their current rental. No one tells you anything or gives you updates. You’re basically just playing the waiting game.

I’ll be sure to tell my clients to avoid Thrifty and Hertz at all costs. I prepaid a reservation to ensure we would get a car. Arrived at the BEI Thrifty to be told they had no cars. It could be up to a 3 hour wait. Then we’re lead outside to the Hertz lot and told to pick anything in that row except an SUV. Picked a Toyota Corolla and when we got to the exit, was told that was not a rentable car. Drive back and picked out a Mazda sedan. Drove to the exit and was told it was the wrong category and that we needed category B.Drove back and found an employee and told him we needed a Category B. He said they didn’t have any.Almost in tears at this point, he put us in a Kia Soul and told us to tell the “gatekeepers” that Jesse said it was ok. The gatekeeper had no idea who Jesse was. But this 3rd gatekeeper let us through. Now we are waiting to see if they will up-charge-us for screwing us over. Screw you, Thrifty and Hertz. I’ll spread the word.

Zero. Same story as everybody else. Get to the rental and after waiting for long, agents inform me the car I pre reserved days ago is not available. Barely any explanation (they lied saying the previous customers didn't bring the cars back on time, but if that's true, how is it fifty customers did that and simultaneously?) Told me to wait for the hours to get a carI immediately went to another rental.I will never rent from another Dollar/Thrifty again, since it seems it's not very well run.Other rentals told me they do this same song-and-dance every day

Never before have I received such terrible customer service. Despite booking our reservation 2 months in advance, upon an on time arrival we were told there were no cars available and that we would have to wait 2 hours. I asked if during that time we could leave the terminal as we had reservations but we were told that if we left the terminal our reservations would be cancelled. Upon calling customer service, they reported that there was “nothing they could do” and they were unable to give us a discount. There was no understanding to be found in any of the “customer service” representatives. I recommend renting a car from ANYWHERE else or else you’ll miss out on a chunk of your vacation like we did.

Arrived for prepaid rental to be told there were no cars, they don’t hold cars for reservations so walk ups can just take all the cars. They said they should have a car in 3+ hours but as cars come in they would go to whomever checked in first.Couldn’t wait around so had to get a car from another agency at over double what I already paid.Since I made the reservation with Expedia, Thrifty wouldn’t refund me and now Expedia has to investigate since it was less than 6 hours before my reservation start time. The people at the Thrifty counter were worthless and just told me I had to contact corporate that they don’t do anything about third-party refunds even after Expedia asked that they show it as a canceled reservation so Thrifty doesn’t try to claim it was a no-show .No guarantee that a refund will be made.

This has to be the WORST rental car place you could ever go. First we did it through Uber and they told us that the fees we had in there has NOTHING to do with them. Yes that’s a problem for uber, but just wait. We set up a pickup time for 5:00 and we didn’t get a vehicle until 7:20 due to them having none. If we’re scheduling to pickup a rental why is there no cars?? We ended up getting it at 7:20 and finally able to leave. This is my first time renting an electric car and it has been the worst hassle since we weren’t given any info on the charging ports or anything.

Waiting for extended periods of time appears to be status quo for picking up a car from Thrifty. DO NOT expect to pick-up your vehicle at the time you arrange. This has happened more than once to us here. Last night I waited 1 and 1/2hrs (the expected wait time they told me when I checked in *seriously unprofessional in my opinion*, and would have continued to wait had I not said something and pressed. For my quick trip to DC this lost me one evenings plans.

Do not rent from this location! I had a reservation, was on time, and they had “run out of cars”. I had a 10:30 am rental. After a long wait in line they said we would have to wait two hours for the next car. We weren’t the only Thrifty customers sent to other rental companies and were going to have to pay double what we would have paid. Complete scammers!

They never have cars available even you have a reservation. We’ve rented from them at the BWI location on three different occasions and each time there was a long wait. The agent we spoke with today blamed the poor service on the previous general manager but it doesn’t appear that the new one is any better. If you are on a strict schedule or simply value your time do not rent from them.

If I could put 0 I would. There was a car waiting for 2h. We received electrical car (everyone who waitted did). Our country side vacation was so limited due to electrical charges. Eventually we had to exchange the car for gas car (for last day) and were charged same amount as we paid for a 4 days. Beyond ridiculousness. Last time with Thrifty, never again.

I had a reservation with thrifty on September 30 at Baltimore airport but they said they didn’t have cars and wait time is 4 hours. The person at the counter told me to go to national car rentals who charged 152. So never take a chance to book thrifty cars. 100% not reliable

I wish I could give zero stars. Booked online with a reservation, they were out of cars and told us to come back in 4 hours, which would be midnight. Absolutely ridiculous. We had to cancel and ended up paying over twice for another company on the spot. I recommend going with anyone else.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The two agents I dealt with were rude. When I arrived I was informed I have up to a 2 hour delay for my rental and despite my dismay about the situation they never apologized. They made me feel like it was my fault. Then I get the car and the lcd screen worked intermittently, where I could not even change the radio station. NEVER AGAIN!

It's not fun to travel to a destination with toddlers only to wait 2 hours at the counter to pick up your rental vehicle. There was no communication and no hope as the counter was absolutely swamped and other customers were throwing a fit. The upside is that my 2-year-old behaved better than the grown men waiting with me. I would not recommend using thrifty Baltimore to anyone based on my experience.

Arrived about twenty minutes before reservation, lights off and sign saying “no cars available”. Saw a lady working there and asked about our reservation, was told there was a two-hour wait because they didn’t have any clean cars. This was 8:40 pm, so not much of an option to wait that long. Wound up using Uber instead. ZERO sense of urgency on behalf of Thrifty. The frustration is absolutely not worth the possibility of saving a few dollars. Read the other reviews, don’t make a reservation here, wasting your time.
