My experience was bad. Told me an item wasn’t gold and could tell just by looking at it because it has no stamp he the. tested it and still said it was fake but I know 100% the item was 14k gold. Went to the to the gold shop in Severna park they confirmed the item was 14k and offered me more than he did for my other gold item. Idk if the guy was trying to pull a fast one because he thought I was desperate but it’s a shame you can’t trust “professionals” I can’t remember his name but he had a very strong foreign accent.

The gentleman helped run the store should not be helping to run this place. He is very unknowledgeable and was very ignorant person to try sell too. Had some awesome collectiblesWanted nothing to do with my stuff and while in front of me he sold a coin and broken jewelry and tried give me same price for my good stuff. Very bad businessmen and the Better Business Bureau needs to get involved.

Dude at the counter didn't know what he was talking about when it came to my coins, definitely offers way too low for what you have.

Made a few coin sales and all were quick and painless and, more importantly IMO, TOP $$$. Very easy to work with and even bought some coins that I think he would have rathered pass. Even took time out of his day to explain how certain coins are graded and. NEVER had that happen!!!

Went to this place to get a price on some coins and I had all the dates of the coins written on paper along with the value. I had 30 coins in one bag and 15 in another. This man switched out my 1829 coin and 1930 coin with 1943 and 1945 coin.Whatever you do, do not go to this store. He thinks its funny to steal from people. Will steal from you BEWARE!

SOBO GOLD BUYERS! Liars and scammers. I sent my brother to SOBO because we were in desperate need of money to settle her debts. i had sent a bit of silver and a gold bracelet with all those little ornaments that hang around the entirety of the band. I guess each piece represented something to her. my brother knew that it was gold but he is not educated in any type of jewelry prices or things of that nature. my brother is intelligent but not in this department. The man behind the counter who bought the bracelet said that it was gold plated and not pure. Each piece was stamped with the carat but my brother took his word. That man ripped my brother and I off and said he would buy it gold plated for $100. I did not know this until hours after. My brother tried to get the bracelet back for the $100, but was refused. This past week, I took in to that very same store with several gold plated pieces and the same man said that they DO NOT BUY ANYTHING GOLD PLATED. They are a rip off. I am trying to get the Better Business Bureau involved. Please take your things elsewhere. RIPOFF ARTISTS!!!!!!

Don't understand how anyone could give a bad review about this business. I had a very pleasant experience - great customer service - employee was incredibly respectful to me. The transparency of how they price the gold is above board and completed right in front of you. I will definitely return. Thank you gentlemen, it was a pleasure.

We had silver from family estate to sell off for scrap, called Sobo on Saturday and the person said they buy scrap silver and confirmed they do this in the weekend. We drove there and there was one person in the store and confirmed they do buy scrap silver. Then he looked at our silver took a photo of some of it and sent it to his "Boss" then continued to check it was silver and weigh. Going ok so far. He calculated the amount and was lower than what we had worked out but he explained the silver flatware was bought at a lower rate(not sure why, stirling silver is stirling silver) and these are forks and spoons that are all silver..We were ready to walk out and while we were thinking, he worked out that he didn't have enough money on premisis to pay us anyway.. so called the "boss" to see if he could get more money to him. The "boss" on the phone was telling him that to reduce the percentage on the silver calculator and then told him that he wasn't going to buy the flatware, just the bars we had. Then changed his mind and said he wasn't buying silver at all, but we could come back Monday and he would take us to his "guy" We noped out of there, the poor guy running the shop was very apologetic and oviously the "boss" didn't trust him to identify silver, so why say you buy silver in the weekend. Sounds like the boss wanted to scam us into a lower price when he was there during the week. As we walked out the "boss" called back and asked if we were still there, we just kept going. Happy ending though.. we went somewhere else after that and got a thousand more than his offer so the "boss" lost out and we dodged a bullet...be careful selling here as they low ball you.

This place DOUBLED what the other places were offering. Everything was on the up and up. Friendly customer service, Rare hard to find items, Very nice experience, very comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely be doing business here again. 5 Stars in my book

I’m actually shocked reading the negative reviews. The prices they pay are way more fair than most around . The guy who helped me was very nice and professional. The equipment they have is amazing, no sitting there watching them do acid tests and staring through a loop for an hour, they have actual x-ray metal identification equipment that had me in and out in less than 10 minutes. They don’t sneakily hide the calculator like most around here. Or throw that penny weight nonsense at you when you ask the percentage they pay. It was so straightforward.You can see everything he is doing on the screen and explains every step he takes so it’s transparent. I was hesitant To go here because it was 2 stars now I am so glad I gave them a shot. I will be doing all my business with them from now on. If I could give them more stars I absolutely would. Thank you Sobo, I will spread the word by mouth that you are definitely a good choice for business.
