I shipped my Bang & Olufsen Beocord 4500 cassette recorder to Electronic Service Center for repair after a phone conversation with the owner. The owner was very knowledgeable about the B&O unit which gave me confidence it could be repaired. Once the repairs were done the unit was damaged in the return shipment which was totally due to the shipper's mishandling and was NOT due in any way to the service center. After a brief conversation with the owner, the item was re-sent, the new damage was repaired and returned to me in perfect condition. I was greatly appreciative of the owner's concern for making it all happen. It is getting harder to find repair centers that will handle vintage equipment, but the entire experience was more than what most repair services provide. Thanks to that I have a working unit once again and at a reasonable service fee. I highly recommend the Electronic Service Center.

I’m an amateur audiophile and found Electronics Service Center back in the 90’s when I needed repair of my B&O Beogram 4002 Straight Line Tracking turntable. I was skeptical of finding someone who could work on this highly esoteric piece of audio equipment and stumbled upon Electronics Service Center. They did so and wonderfully!Recently, I took them a Vasant GS-120S integrated amp with a blown channel. I picked it up and when I hooked it up at home, the other channel blew! I took it back in and when I went to pick up the repaired amp again with my speakers and cables in hand, they discovered that my cables were at fault! They took the time to educate me on the danger of errant wires and did not charge me for the second repair! Great service and honorable dealings with the public. Use this business to do all of your repairs!

I inherited a Beogram 4002 that did not work. Due to its sentimental value, I spent years researching the best option for its repair. After contacting Bang & Olufsen, we were told that they do not do vintage repairs in house and that they actually ship their work to Electronics Service Center. I've been bringing my turntable to ESR ever since and trust no one else with it. I highly recommend Jimmy, he is meticulous, honest, well-priced and his expertise is rare, if not unmatched, on the Eastern Seaboard.

Electronic Service Center did a great job repairing and calibrating my stereo components. They stand by their repairs and I will always trust them with my components. Very personable and fair pricing for the repair work done. I have recommended them to my friends.

Was not even willing to look at my cassette player - rude on the phone and stated parts are probably not available - looked online and parts are available - when I called another retro audio repair company they were more than willing to service as they said parts are available for that model - I am surprised with the bad attitude as previous reviews for this company were positive - will take my business elsewhere

I have been a long time customer of Electronics Service Center and have always been impressed and pleased with their competence and service ethic. The firm's service is thorough, efficient and friendly. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. In my latest experience, I recently had a recurring problem with an equipment part that is no longer manufactured. The staff demonstrated creative resourcefulness and actually built a replacement part from material that is more reliable than the original and did extensive quality control testing before returning my unit back to me! I highly and unreservedly recommend Electronics Service Center.

Had a great experience with these guys. Had an Onkyo HDMI issue where I was gradually losing all my HDMI inputs. Had a kids movie bday party coming up and needed a working receiver.Because I live 2 hours away, the customer service rep walked me through doing a hard reset to try to kickstart the HDMI board to work again. It fixed the issue. Very happy because it means I don’t have to go out and pay for a new HDMI board ($450) or go out and buy another $1k+ receiver!

Unfortunately, they couldn't help... BUT they responded very quickly, with good information. I believe if my issue could have been resolved by them, I would have been quite happy with their work.

Have brought in my vintage Tandberg stereo receivers. A good place for repairs - even on classic units. Fair prices too.I'd be nervous taking older classics in anywhere else - but OK here!

Jimmy at Electronics Service Center has been my go-to audio equipment repair person for more than a decade. He has fixed and upgraded my turntables, amps, and even an antique 1970s turner.Jimmy is both old school and extremely friendly. He does not over-promise or overcharge. The repair is made on-time. The service is high-end professional. I give Electronics Service Center 5 stars only because 6 stars is not an option.

UPDATE: I took my receiver to another repair shop after it failed for a 3rd time. It turns out the transistors blew so replacing the fuse didn’t solve the problem. Perhaps I was too quick to agree it was my fault. Frustrating that I threw away over $200 only for my receiver to likely be kaput…Jimmy always goes above and beyond in his service in my experience. I’m a newbie to stereo set up and after my receiver blew a short the first time I brought it in and not only did he fix, he gave me a couple reasons as to why it might have blown. It took a while to get fixed, but this was due to the difficulty of tracking down the parts. Once I got the receiver back as soon as I connected it at home it didn’t work bc the other fuse blew. I finally brought back the cables, speaker and receiver and Jimmy walked me through all the possible reasons the fuse would have blown again. The repair came with a warranty so the next time he only charged me for parts even though the error was my fault. Lots of integrity and knowledge here. He fixed the speaker wires which turned out to be the issue.

I brought my old but upper level Technics turntable to Mr. Diaz because it was no longer spinning at an even speed and was no longer responding to the electronic speed control.Mr. Diaz was a delight to speak with. He explained exactly how he would repair the turntable. BTW, his explanation demonstrated a detailed knowledge of the turntable design, engineering and innards. His fee structure was reasonable.I authorized the work which was done in the forecast time frame. Took the turntable home and it has been working LIKE NEW for more than a year.Yesterday, I contacted Mr. Diaz by email to ask about potential repair of a Super Audio CD player. He responded promptly and advised that the machine is too old to repair because of a lack of parts. Instead of "blowing smoke," he HONESTLY suggested that, if I wanted to replace the player with the same model, that I look on eBay.He is an HONEST, ethical, businessman. He is knowledgeable and efficient. I would not hesitate to bring other equipment to him for repair.

I've had two different Onkyo receivers repaired here. Very professional service and have been satisfied with both repairs, I highly recommend to anyone that has a problem with any of the brands they repair.

I had a terrible experience with this center. The spokesman, Jimmy Diaz called the receiver I purchased Inferior! He said it would take 3 to 6 months to get it repaired because the part was not in stock. A few days later I talked with this person, he said the inferior receiver was fixed and ready for shipping back to me. Well I received the receiver and it still doesn’t work. Has no sound for the rear speakers. The same problem it had before. THEY DIDNT REPAIR THE RECEIVER. THIS CENTER IS REALLY A WASTE OF TIME.
