We've been using Laytonsville Vet since they opened 20+ years ago. Dr. Godwin and her team provide excellent care to all of our dogs, and I'm convinced that the dogs have lived longer, more fulfilling lives because of the outstanding care they've received from Laytonsville. I highly recommend this practice.

We’ve used this vet practice for 17 years with multiple pets. It’s the BEST! Knowledgable, friendly staff provides me peace of mind that my pets are well cared for and results in thriving, happy, healthy pets!

We love Laytonsville Vet! We have been going here since we got our dog at 3 months (he is 3 years old now).It is a little out of our way, but I’m willing to drive a little further for the best care for my boy. They have always been welcoming, kind, and professional. They know our dog’s name when we come in and we love that they seem to genuinely care about our concerns and his well being. We didn’t want a place that rushed us in and out.I did a lot of research and asking around before I made the decision on which vet to take him to and I’m glad I chose Laytonsville Vet.Everyone I talked to raved about them and had nothing but great things to say about them!If you’re looking for a great place, look no further!

I have been going to Laytonsville for years. I have been happy with their service until now. They don't seem to have enough staff to even answer the phone or handle other services outside of vet appointments. I won't be going back.

Dr. Godwin always takes excellent care of the foster rabbits and is great at communicating and explaining any issues. Highly recommended.

Dr. Claire Godwin is amazing. Speaking beyond decades of excellent care for all our pets, she saved my cat’s leg and perhaps her life. My cat suffered a near fatal dog attack. The emergency vet told us if she survived the surgery to repair internal bleeding, they needed to amputate the leg and proceeded to try to sell us $5-7k prosthetic limbs… we sensed something was off and told them to go ahead with surgery to repair the bleeding, but we would prefer to go to our regular vet (Claire) the next day for her leg (it was a Sunday, back in early 2000’s). Thank goodness we did that. Claire believed it could heal. It did, and quickly! My young cat was able to live a long, healthy, four-legged life thanks to Claire’s experience & expertise.

I have been taking my dogs to Laytonsville veterinarian practice for over 30 years, Dr Godwin and the staff have been excellent and caring with all of my dogs from the begining to the end. I was an employee for about a year in the late 90's I saw how the animals were cared for when the practice was closed and when it was open and the care of the animals was as if they were there own pets.I highly recommend there service for your pets needs.

Awesome Veterinary practice. VERY caring and looks to give the best care at the best price. Very open and explains options in layman terms.

My young rescue dog was so traumatized by our last visit for a suspected UTI, that she pooped and peed all over herself. Vet, new to me and the third vet who has seen her in 8 months suggested a behaviorist. Not even reading our history with a behaviorist in NC for this dog. The dog hid in her safe space at home for 36 hr not eating or relieving herself. But they sure texted me my bill before they returned her to me in parking lot. It seems that this vet practice is more geared to generating income than caring for pets. The "behaviorist"who called me from their office to give me names of behaviorists to call - billed me for the call as soon as we ended the call. Found a more caring, understanding vet who is helping our dog overcome her trauma.
