So, I’m a gym rat…but half a dozen functional training 1on1’s with the owner, Mike totally refocused me. One session of bodyweight squats highlighted the weakness and instability of my hips…quads be damned. He is also enthusiastic, charismatic and a joy to train with.

Crossfit Koncepts is one of the oldest gyms in the Washington DC area. We opened in 2008 and are still operating today. We actually still have clients who have been training with us from day one! We are NOT your typical CrossFit gym. We do not train people for the CrossFit games or for competition. We do train people to improve their lives? What does that mean? It means that are primary focus is to get you stronger, leaner, and moving better. We do that by focusing on getting you moving better and more efficiently, and by getting your technique dialed in before we increase load or intensity. We are also unique in the fact that we cater to older athletes. Our average client is in their fifties, has two kids, and a full-time job.
