Great desk person but there's only one guy working there! I checked popular times and it was wrong. It said less busy than usual and a very low bar but there was a long line that kept growing. They have 4 desks but only 1 worker! One guy peeked in as if he was going to start working but then left immediately. Seems all post offices are always busy with long lines. I haven't been to them in a while but they were always a long wait - Shady Grove, Mont Village. The shipping itself is good.

My package was delivered opened and torn. My package contained electronic device Amazon Echo. The mailman threw the package on my porch from 6 feet away. I have a video recording.

Shawn or Sean took care of me late today to send food to my brother overseas in the military. He took time to walk me through the process and helped me multiple times making sure it was sent to the proper place. God bless him he even stayed open after five to make sure it was sent that same day.

I ship 50 to 200 packages a day pre paid to be scanned the last 12 years, so I have a pretty good idea of how post offices flow and work or dont work. This is a small post office location. The post office has to budget for the volume so it has one or 2 workers at best due to volume. If there is a wait or line at this post office, it isnt the workers fault. The main worker there Willie is a solid veteran postal worker, he knows what he is doing. I specifically go to this post office at least 2 times a week to work with Willie and he is a main reason I stay with the Postal Service with my thousands of packages over another carrier.

They have successfully lost and then sent back to sender at least packages in the past month. This is not Covid-related, they have been terrible always. I’ve lived here almost 30 years and this post office has the worst customer service, loses packages, and their substitute drivers will dump your mail in the snow. They should be closed down!

I've been to this location a number of times, and Tammy, the lady working the counter, is the most rude and unpleasant person I've ever dealt with in customer service. No emotions, short acting, and extremely condescending if you don't know something and ask questions. I get so anxious whenever I go in. This location is extremely convenient for me. Unfortunately I've decided try other locations in the future because I like to be treated like a human and not an idiot. I've worked in customer service for many years, and I totally understand people have their days. But when a customer is approaching you in a friendly manner and asks one question, don't shut them down and make them feel less of a human. If you hate people this much, find a new job! Avoid this location at all costs.

I agree with all the comments about the lady. I dread going to this post office because of her. When you greet her she doesn't say anything back. The way she talks and treats you is by far the worst customer service I have experienced. All the strangers in line were more helpful to me. She gets irritated when you ask a question. Unfortunately I live close by so I have to go there. I don't know why I get her every time and I get so anxious!

I'm not one to go out of my way to call out bad service but in this case, it's one of the worst I've ever experienced. The rude African American woman, that other one star reviewers have complained about, was the same one I interacted with (for the record her name tag says "Tammy"). I came in and had some questions about how to fill out a certified mail form and not only did she not want to help me but also suggested I go to the Rockville location. I simply told her that it's her job to know and that I was already here so why couldn't she help me? Long story short she refused to help me because she said I was rude, which I wasn't, and when other customers walked in she wouldn't help them either. I have a video record of this happening so hopefully someone higher up reaches out to me and can see this despicable behavior of their employee. I'm sure she does this so no one comes in and doesn't have to do work. Regardless, she should be fired immediately!!!

I have used this post office from time to time over the course of about 15 years, so I have a somewhat long-view perspective of this place. As others have noted, there have been changes in personnel over the years that have changed the customer experience. The employees on the other side of the counter used to be more friendly, and there used to be more people working. These days, I typically only see one employee working the counter, and she's often not very emotive, to say the least. While there was nothing mean about her, she sometimes came across as impersonal, and because it was consistent I assumed that she either was unhappy, or that she didn't like people, or both. Most of the time, strangers are unusually nice to me, so this lady's lack of warmth stood out. Ultimately, this shaped my view of this post office. But that all changed this past Tax day. While things often run very slowly here, this post office is typically less busy than other ones in the area (Shady Grove Rd, Washington Ave in Rockville, etc), so I decided to come here to mail out various things, among which were some tax-related items. I arrived late afternoon near 4:00, only to find that there was a line going to the door. Not a good scenario, but not unpredictable. It was an understandably busy day, but I was sure that all hands would be in deck to make things smoother. Then I looked at the counter, and saw only 1 employee working. ON TAX DAY! As I got a closer look at who was working, I saw that the sole employee working the counter was the same lady that I previously described as impersonal. Knowing that it might be a while, I pulled out my phone to look something up regarding postage. I had realized that I wasn't entirely sure what option was best for some of my items (Priority vs Certified?), and I decided not to wait to ask at the counter because I didn't want to hold the line up. Before I could type anything in, I suddenly felt a lot of space around me. I looked up, and saw that the line had moved forward. So, I went back to my phone and looked my question up. Before I could even look at the list of the first few search results, I felt that same extra space around me, as the line had moved again. Back down to my phone, I tapped the first result, which was exactly the page I needed. Before I started reading the page, the line had moved. Then I started reading the answer to my question, and again, the line moved forward. This process continued, and within maybe 3-5 minutes, I was at the front! Not bad! It had gone so quickly that I didn't actually get a chance to look up all my questions, so I had to ask the lady at the counter. When I approached the counter, I felt bad for not having come prepared and for wasting her time by asking questions, but she exuded a "No worries" attitude. While she wasn't all smiles, her demeanor was sunny. I had maybe 5 things to mail out, and they were processed quickly. Overall, it was a rather pleasant experience. So, if you're reading bad reviews about the lady behind the counter, take them with a grain of salt. On a tough and busy day, she was very quick and was unfazed by the constant stream of customers. If I were her, I would've been pulling my hair out by then. Ultimately, I think that she either is not a talker, or paces herself in terms of energy on long days. After all, in this setting, both behaviors help people get in and out quickly and without problems. I underestimated this post office, and have no qualms about returning, even if I'm in a hurry.

Horrible, the staff there are so rude. Don't know what's going on at that post office, but they act like they don't want to be there and treat people in a degrading manner. They apparently hate their job and people. Too bad because it's so convenient to me, only right up the street and I do a lot of mailing, but I avoid going there and drive to other USPS locations that are further away like the one in Olney or the one on Redland Road.
