Donte's Boxing Gym was one of the best things i've ever done in my life.I highly recommend it.Now I used to be a student there but unfortunately i let fear consume me, stopping me when i could of kept going. The Whole time i went to this gym i felt inspired as if i was going to keep going and Donte would be there to lead me on.Me quitting this amazing sport stays with me to this day, I left because what someone did what they were supposed to do in the sport? Everything i do now that i feel like im about to quit i just remember all of the motivation that i received from Donte to keep pushing. I have big regrets from quitting..it wasn't my best choice.Sometimes i want to go back to redeem myself on what i left off on. However there's many reasons why i can't at the time. even when i went home and cried the first time i got in the ring the inspiration i had kept me going but one day it just didn't seem to be all there from my fear.Overall Donte is a INCREDIBLE coach and will lead you on to your peak.I enjoyed this place a bunch. I might of left the gym but i never left my spirit.

The real deal. Donte's Boxing Gym reached all the parts of boxing: bag work, cardio, weight training, defense drills (you heard that right, you might learn to fight). Donte's Boxing Gym is the real deal.

My son has truly loved his experience at Donte's Boxing Gym. The boxing academy had a material impact on his confidence and his ability to protect himself if needed. In addition to building up the boys physically, Coach Donte also seeks to build up their confidence, mental stamina, and so much more. Thank you Coach Donte for the time, energy, and passion that you pour in to the children who attend your gym. Your work has positively impacted my son in ways that will stay with him for a lifetime. Side note - I am a germaphobe, and Coach Donte keeps one of the cleanest gyms that I've ever been to. Thank you for keeping the studio sanitized and top notch!

This man is a gem to both his local community and the nation. My son takes live online lessons from the Midwest, and I am constantly in AWE of Donte’s passion and enthusiasm for coaching and training the youth. He’s such a positive influence that I find myself in a better, uplifted mood after simply WATCHING him train my son. I look forward to the day when we actually travel to meet him in his gym, shake his hand and I get to tell him how much he has touched our lives.

Just had my first workout here and it was awesome. Let me preface this review by stating that I am very out of shape and have never boxed before: didn't even matter! Donte is really supportive and pushes you to finish the workout in an encouraging way. He pays careful attention to everyone in the workout regardless of whether you're new or a regular. Will be back for sure!

When you walk into a place of business you usually expect to be welcomed. They usually thank you for coming and do not grill you as to why you would dare step foot into their place of business as if you do not belong. Well this is the exact feeling I felt walking into Dante's gym. This man went out of his way to make me and my son feel unwanted and uncomfortable in his gym. From the moment we walked in he questioned us as to why my son wanted to be there. I guess he didn't like my sons answer. As my son had to think about why he was there. Obviously to learn boxing but my son is on the spectrum so he took the question as a trick question. Dante didn't like this and pretty much told my son then why are you here then if you can't answer me pretty much made it seem like he had no time for a "wanna be" boxer. As if I didn't pay for my son to attend that class. As if he doesn't have 1 time classes for sale on his website. As if he promotes to only people who want to be boxers when they grow up..idk it felt very condescending. His attitude was demeaning and passive aggressive, we must of caught him on a bad day because the class over all was good. However he laughed at my son for a move he was showing him. How unprofessional and mean can you be. If you do not have patience for kids who are learning, then make your class for non-beginners only. I thought this was a class, right? What do we do in class? We learn. I was referred to this gym by one if his own students but if he wasn't so rude to me he would have learned that, he also would have learned that 2 members of my family are boxers and that my son was going there to make them proud because he wanted to learn like them. But this man was too focused on why we were there, instead of making us feel welcomed and having an interest in my son wanting to learn at his gym . My son has ADHD, severe anxiety and is on the spectrum but aside from all that my son wanted to be there. Do you know how much mental power it takes for a kid with these kinds of issues to show up to a boxing gym and actually want to learn and try something new !! I didn't force my son to be there, he genuinely wanted to be in that class. Thank god my son did a really good job in the class and didn't realize what was going on. I made my son complete the class to show the instructor my son could do it. Aside from that I was willing to ignore the rudeness I encountered coming in and wanted to talk to the instructor about taking more classes also to inform him of my sons low self esteem and ADHD and how this class would really help him out but he literally looked at me and my son and was like "yea when I ask you why you are here you have to say to learn boxing, I don't have time for ..." I didn't catch the end because I was so mad, I still ignored his rudeness he then stopping talking to us to say bye to other kids he looked at us and said 'ok you guys can leave now" . Not do you have any questions? Did you enjoy the class? Just ok you can leave now. I was was stupidly waiting to talk to him about signing up my son. I should have walked out from the start. I have never left a place feeling so sad. He literally told me in no words that he didn't want to teach my son or had time for him, and that broke my heart for my son.

I've spent years looking for a good boxing gym to not only teach me technique but also develop my mind and spirit and i can proudly say i have a home at Donte's Boxing Gym. Donte is one of those people you dont have to even speak to feel his presence and impact. My first day there i noticed how he was able to guide and get the best out of his kids class that he teaches before the adult class. I can honestly say that not even teachers, counselors or medical professionals can understand and influence youth like Donte. In fact i think thats his most admirable trait with the shift in culture with todays youth; its hard to understand what their going through and how to set them up with success, but with Donte you can see the patience and the honest belief in getting the best out of the youth he teaches. Its the same with adults. I'd the main things he pushes ( in my opinion) is respect, honesty, integrity, humility and lastly fun. While boxing requires the utmost mental and physical attentiveness Donte makes sure that everyone feels secure and comfortable. The vets of the gym dont boast about what they can do they instead help and push one another to improve and more so for newcomers like myself. Demitrious (his assistant trainer) also has a very cool laid back personality and is great giving walkthrough instructions to make sure you dont hurt yourself. Overall id say if your looking for an gym with old school values to build character that can keep with the rapid shifts of culture in todays society you cant go wrong here. Donte is the truth and a real role model. Any community would be lucky to have someone like him around

All the staff are fantastic! Not only will you get a great workout, you will learn to box with proper form and technique. I leave every class feeling stronger and leaner. Not to mention, Donte gives back to the community by mentoring at-risk youth. Classes are drop-in so it’s incredibly convenient and flexible!
