We called up this Marina for a quick refreshment stop whilst sailing enroute from North summit Marina to Chesapeake Bay. Also wanted to check the place out as we were looking for a Marina to slip our future sail boat. We pick this place since it had so many great reviews about staff friendliness. Well our experience was totally different. In fact it was disgusting. The guy on duty on the Sunday 25th was arrogant, dismissive, rude and actually dangerous. At first he just would not even take our lines even though we were drifting to starboard off the dock in a significant breeze from the East. He kept asking why do you want to stop here? I don't have space? Emm... The dock was totally empty. When he eventually grabbed them he tied the lines way to far apart with about 30 feet of slack and just walked off. By this stage we where sideways. We struggled bring her in the way he tied those lines. After a while he returned and asked us if any of you knew what were doing? Like is he for real? Did he not like the way we looked or something? We were certainly nice to him.. He also refused to help when leaving. I just don't understand why someone would show so little respect considering we were just there to get some refreshments, fuel, check the place out and get some info on slipping a boat etc. It's certainly not in the awesone sailing and boating spirit we are used to in Australia and the US so far where everyone helps and chats to everyone. We certainly won't be doing the latter. This may be just some guy filling in on a weekend but we certainly won't be staying or recommending this place based on our experience.

A hidden gem. Very quiet spot. I got really lucky to inherit it with the boat purchase!
