New management has ruined the atmosphere and quality of service at location cashiers are SNOTTY. mangers have to big of egos- thinks she’s still running the east over location. music isn’t the same. overall displeasing experience compared to over the years

I was EXTREMELY disappointed today at my neighborhood Giant Food Store with the cashier (Kelly)
Poor customer service, but I can overlook that because maybe she was having a bad day but to bag my groceries the way she did was TOTALLY unacceptable!
She basically just threw my items in the bag. I had chips she put a heavy item on top of the chips. I had to finish bagging my items that she just left and started scanning the next customer behind me. Once I got to my car I just repacked my bag.
I was really shocked because I have been coming to this Giant for over 4 years since we moved in this area and I have never had a bad experience until today

The staff I interact with is always kind. I accidentally left my groceries in self checkout. I was preoccupied by my 2yo son. And when I came back in from realizing it, they met me at the door with good humor and my purchase.

The self checkout area reminds me of a strip search at pelican bay! This has to be the most dehumanizing experience I've ever encountered. The attendant was looking at my electronic receipt to see if I paid for everything. I felt her eyes on me and turned around and asked her if she needed help - she said that she was putting away candy. I Cleary saw her invading my space! There's also a plain-clothes who positioned himself just outside of the checkout area...
I understand times have changed, but I'm not the enemy; the majority of your customers are NOT the enemy.
Do better! I hate this place and only patronize it when necessary. The worst!

Decent grocery store for basic needs. I go to this Giant due to convenience, however their “fresh” produce and meat selection are always very limited. So, I have learned to go elsewhere for those needs. I generally purchase snacks, milk, cereal/ oatmeal, ice cream, can goods and bread.Customer service: When I go, I receive decent customer service. Some speak, some don’t, some stare, some are helpful and others are not. So, I really try to use self checkout oppose to a cashier.Cleanliness: It’s decent. Not top tier but not the worse. However, the smell in this Giant is not appealing.

Check the expiration of all items. Multiple times we have gone to this giant and have come home to food that has been way past the expired date. Especially freezer items. Bought ice cream last night and it expired well over a month ago. This is not the first time we’ve run into this issue.

I'm so disappointed to start my New Year off being threatened by the morning manager to ban me from my neighborhood Giant that I frequent several times a week. I never spend less than an $100 in that store for my family of 6 on each visit. Not only that, I am a caterer who swears by this Giant because they always have what I need. This morning I inquired about the price of a reusable bag hanging on each register with a price of .99. I wanted four of them. She said that they were actually $2.50. I didn't want to hold the line up so I paid my $198 bill, including the .10 per paper bag. But then I stopped at customer service where I encountered the security guard, a customer service representative and a manager. I asked her about the price of the bag and she said the bags were hanging in the wrong spot at every register. I asked her to walk with me. She turns around to the rep and the security guard and says someone just give the lady a bag in a sarcastic tone. I have my 1yr old and my husband with me. I pull out my receipt and tell her after the money I spent in here, I don't need a free bag but since you said it give it to me. I guess her being called out was too much for her so she threatened to ban me. She was never threatened or even talked to out the way. If this is what manages this store then perhaps my business needs to be taken somewhere else. I'm at home still thinking of the way this white manager who I've never even seen at this store treated me over a .99 bag. Giant please take care of this.

Placed an online order on Friday 7:33am for two deli trays for a Sunday pick up 9am, got to the store at 1pm on Sunday and the order wasn’t ready nor did anyone pick up the phone to call/contact us with an update. How can we support our local stores if they drop the ball on something that was done within the time line they set…..#disappointed
