I foster 3 dogs from Dorchester dog control, 2 dog I took back was because they didn’t get along with my cats. I had to make sure my cats didn’t get hurt. The third dog I took back was because she try to bite my daughter, then the dog control officer she jump at him. I ask how the dog was doing back at the dog control, they said she was unadoptable out , they had to put her down. I went to a woman who was giving away puppies suppose to be lab/ basset but found out the puppy was part Rottweiler and pitbull. I could not keep her because of my lease, I would have been kicked out of my house. So I owner surrendered to dog control. They sent her to Baywater. She got adopted. I went to Baywater to look at the dogs to adopt. But the manager said those people could not adopt. She said I owner surrendered several animals but I didn’t. She treated me like I was a criminal and didn’t explain nothing.I have always had animals in my life and I have took care of them. I had two wonderful dogs for 12 years who die last year one had cancer and the other had heart failure. I have a wonderful veterinarian. My animals are my babies. I just wanted a dog to have to love for the rest of my life.I’m in my 50’s and have health problems. But I’m not going to be disrespected or humiliated by someone who won’t explain anything!!! I’m a good person!!!! I won’t be back.DON’T ADOPT FROM THIS SHELTER!!!!

Very helpful staff. We adopted Cry Baby who is now Rosie. The folks at Baywater listened and fixed us up with a patient and very loving senior kitty who fit right in giving us lots of love and attention. They could not have been more helpful and nice.Thank

I'm a widow of 4 tears, my friend told me about the pet food pantry. I got a little one month on my funds, went there to see if I could get some dog food, I told the owner, I did not have any. She told me I had to wait 2 days, and cone back. I came back 2 days later, my bag was already made up, 6 pouches of wet dog food, the bag had been open, my friend went behind me and got a very large bag of dog food, and offered her adoption of one of the animals. The owner has a VERY BAD ATTITUDE!!! She act like she has brought everything and it's coming out of her pocket. I went there this Saturday, at 11:15 the gate was up, I seen cars up to the office. Something needs to be done with that owner, she has no love un her heart for humans or people.

Super caring & clean facility. The staff is amazing! The Kitty Cat Condo Building is berry cool with several separate rooms & a nice screened area for them to go inside & outside at their leisure, in that area, on their own. The new addition on the 2nd floor is to help train the dogs so they are used to being handled & socialized.

New building to allow the cats and dogs to have separate buildings, they have also created an indoor play and training area. The staff and volunteers are extremely dedicated.
